    摘要: A method for producing titanium tetrachloride is provided, in which valuable materials such as unreacted titanium-containing raw material, carbon raw material and chlorine can be recovered from solid recovered material generated in chlorinating process of titanium-containing raw material, and titanium-containing raw material can be efficiently used. The treatment method of titanium-containing raw material includes the steps: separating and removing impurities selectively from the titanium-containing raw material as chlorides so as to obtain high titanium-containing raw material, producing titanium tetrachloride using the high titanium-containing raw material, and performing separating process of impurities from solid recovered material byproduced in the production of titanium tetrachloride, together with selective chlorinating treatment of the titanium-containing raw material. Thus, the high titanium-containing raw material can be produced while recovering chlorine and impure oxides.

    摘要: This invention relates to hydrogen production using combined heat pumps and a thermochemical cycle. Low grade waste heat can be upgraded to higher temperatures via salt/ammonia and/or MgO/vapor chemical heat pumps, which release heat at successively higher temperatures through exothermic reactions, or vapor compression heat pumps that upgrade thermal energy with phase change fluids. Using this new approach, low grade heat or waste heat from nuclear or other industrial sources can be transformed to a useful energy supply for thermochemical hydrogen production.

    摘要: A method for preparing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene comprising (a) providing a starting composition comprising at least one compound having a structure selected from Formulae I, II and III: CX2═CCl—CH2X  (Formula I) CX3—CCl═CH2  (Formula II) CX3—CHCl—CH2X  (Formula III) wherein X is independently selected from F, Cl, Br, and I, provided that at least one X is not fluorine; (b) contacting said starting composition with a first fluorinating agent to produce a first intermediate composition comprising 2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene and a first chlorine-containing byproduct; (c) contacting said first intermediate composition with a second fluorinating agent to produce a second intermediate composition comprising 2-chloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropane and a second chlorine-containing byproduct; and (d) catalytically dehydrochlorinating at least a portion of said 2-chloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropane to produce a reaction product comprising 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene.
