摘要: A method for treating process material using a plurality of autoclaves. The method includes: introducing steam into a hollow interior of a first autoclave; increasing the temperature within the hollow interior of the first autoclave by adding heat to the hollow interior of the first autoclave using an indirect heat source; reducing the temperature and pressure within the hollow interior of the first autoclave by flashing a portion of the steam within the hollow interior of the first autoclave to a second autoclave; increasing the temperature within the hollow interior of the first autoclave by continuing to add heat to the hollow interior of first autoclave using the indirect heat source; and reducing a moisture content of a process material in the hollow interior of the first autoclave to a predetermined value by venting a remaining portion of the steam from the first autoclave into a third autoclave.

摘要: A medical zero emission waste system comprising a medical waste treatment unit that couples to a medical facility. The medical waste treatment unit is onsite to the medical facility for processing medical waste generated by the medical facility. The medical waste treatment unit comprises a gasification reactor, a syngas treatment unit, and a synthetic fuel generator for treating and converting medical waste. The synthetic fuel generator comprises an electrolysis unit and a liquid fuel synthesis unit. The medical waste treatment unit converts the medical waste to synthetic fuel, gaseous fuel, oxygen, heat, slag, and other components that are useful to the medical facility or other entities. The medical waste treatment system uses carbon dioxide generated during a medical waste conversion process thereby producing substantially zero emissions and eliminating medical waste that could be harmful to the environment.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing recycled pulp fibers such that articles using the recycled pulp fibers can easily achieve a uniform whiteness and users are not prone to feel psychological resistance to articles using the recycled pulp fibers. This method is described below. The method is characterized by involving: a step for supplying, from a mixed solution supply port (32) to a treatment tank (31), a mixed solution (51) which contains superabsorbent polymers and pulp fibers derived from multiple types of used sanitary products; a step for supplying an ozone-containing gas (53) from an ozone-containing gas supply port (43) to a treatment solution (52) inside of the treatment tank (31); a step in which, by raising the ozone-containing gas (53) while lowering the superabsorbent polymers and pulp fibers in the treatment tank (31), the ozone-containing gas (53) is brought into contact with the superabsorbent polymers and the pulp fibers, and the pulp fibers are bleached to form recycled pulp fibers; and a step for discharging the treatment solution (52) from a treatment solution discharge port (33), wherein the recycled pulp fibers have a 0-10 ΔYI with respect to a standard white plate.

摘要: A fluid dispensing apparatus may be used to dispense a fluid from a container that is under pressure and that has a pierceable membrane. The fluid dispensing apparatus may include a valve body having a bore, an adaptor having a bore and a piercing member, and a nozzle having a bore. The fluid dispensing apparatus may be operable to pierce the pierceable membrane to communicate the fluid within the container with the adaptor bore and with the valve body bore. The nozzle may be operable to permit the fluid to flow under the pressure out of the container, through the adaptor bore, through the valve body bore and through the nozzle bore to ambient.
