    Abstract: An assembly for dispensing a fluid product having a tank and a piston sliding in the tank, a sampling needle being attached to the tank for drawing a fluid product into the tank, a removable spray head being assembled on the tank, around the sampling needle, for spraying the fluid product. The spray head has an insert arranged upstream of a dispensing port, the spray head, when assembled on the tank, being axially movable between transport and use positions, the assembly has a guide mechanism for guiding the spray head when it is assembled in its transport position and/or when it is moved into its use position, a first locking mechanism for holding the spray head in its transport position, and a second locking mechanism for holding the spray head in its use position.

    Abstract: A processing liquid is sent to a discharge nozzle through a processing liquid valve to discharge the processing liquid from the discharge nozzle toward a substrate. The processing liquid valve controls a flow of the processing liquid in a flow channel that is connected to the discharge nozzle, depending on a pressure of a working fluid that is supplied thereto. A fluid pressure adjustment unit adjusts behavior of a variation of a pressure of the working fluid that is supplied to the processing liquid valve, depending on an adjustment parameter that is set variably. The processing liquid that is sent to the discharge nozzle through the processing liquid valve is limited to stop discharge of the processing liquid from the discharge nozzle. Correlation data are acquired between a working fluid parameter that indicates behavior of a variation of a pressure of the working fluid and the adjustment parameter.

    Abstract: A system for dispensing a personal care fluid, such as a hand soap or the like. The system includes a dispenser and a refill cartridge. The dispenser includes a dispenser body having a refill cavity and a dispenser lid configured to be coupled to the dispenser body. There may be a pump sub-system mounted to the dispenser lid, or alternatively the personal care fluid may be dispensed by squeezing the dispenser and refill cartridge. The refill cartridge is configured for slidable insertion into and removal from the refill cavity of the dispenser body. The personal care fluid system is designed so that a user can readily and easily change out/replace the refill cartridge for use with a common dispenser, dispenser lid, and pump sub-system.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for cleaning gun-style applicators are provided that reduce the costs associated with cleaning applicators as well as the cost and burden associated with disposing of containers of cleaning material when they are empty. An adapter of the system has a first end that couples with an output port of a canister of aerosolized cleaning material and a second end that couples with a first end of a hose having a second end that couples with an input port of the applicator. Actuation of a trigger of the applicator causes the aerosolized cleaning material to flow through a bore of the adapter, through the hose, through an internal portion of the gun-style applicator and out of a nozzle of the gun-style applicator.

    Abstract: A lock device for pump-style bottle dispensers includes first and second body segments each having an inside facing wall with a semi-circular indentation. The first and second body segments are connected together by a hinge to transition between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the shaft of a pump mechanism is positionable between the semi-circular indentations. In the closed position the shaft is encircled by the semi-circular indentations. A lip and indentation are formed along the first and second body segments, respectively and form a compression fitting when in the closed position. Magnetic elements are positioned in the first and second body segments to securing the segments in the closed position. Multiple lock devices are vertically stackable via a plurality of holes positioned along the top surface of the body segments and complementary pegs located along the bottom surface of the body segments.

    Abstract: A handheld misting device, having a fluid tank that can be pressurized to force the contained fluid under pressure through a fluid delivery system, includes a hand-operated pump for injecting air into the fluid tank to pressurize the fluid tank. The pump includes a pump handle located at the bottom of the tank at one end of a rod, and a piston at the other end of the rod. The pump handle rotates in order to lock, in a retracted position, against the tank; the form factor of the handle conforms to that of the tank, to define an unbroken outer surface of the device when the handle is locked in the retracted position. A pressure-relieving air channel extends through the piston, the rod, and the pump handle to emit air out of the pump and into the environment when the fluid tank is at a maximum pressure.

    Abstract: An all-plastic, reciprocating foam dispenser is contemplated. The dispenser relies upon a bellows that also serves as the air chamber/cylinder, thereby eliminating the need for complex valving while also reducing total plastic mass and shortening the axial profile of the dispenser. In this manner, the dispenser can be coupled to narrow-necked containers (≤40 mm diameter) and dispense large doses (≥1.2 mL). A locking collar secures the pump in a sealed, up-locked position, while also providing greater flexibility to adjust the air-to-liquid ratio to help impart the desired consistency to the dispensed foam product.
