摘要: A histological container for histological samples is provided with a removable humidity control lid with portals for access into the container. The lid creates a humidified zone across the lid portals to allow processing steps inside the container while minimizing variations in the container humidity. A cover can be placed over the container for thermal control inside the container. The cover includes a top with portals aligned with the lid portals for access through the cover and top to inside the container. The cover can include a shutter slidably interfaced with the top. The shutter can include shutter portals selectively aligned with the top portals. Slidable alignment of the shutter portals with the top portals allows access to inside the container. Slidable nonalignment of the shutter portals with the top portals restricts access, essentially closing the container to control temperature levels and other ambient conditions inside the container.

The humid air forming device includes a cooling unit that cools the object to be measured to a first temperature or lower; and a humid air supply unit that forms humid air having a second temperature, which is higher than the first temperature, and spraying the humid air toward the surface of the cooled object to be measured, thereby forming moisture particles on the surface of the cooled object to be measured.

摘要: Disclosed herein are apparatuses and methods for conducting multiple simultaneous micro-volume chemical and biochemical reactions in an array format. In one embodiment, the format comprises an array of microholes in a substrate. Besides serving as an ordered array of sample chambers allowing the performance of multiple parallel reactions, the arrays can be used for reagent storage and transfer, library display, reagent synthesis, assembly of multiple identical reactions, dilution and desalting. Use of the arrays facilitates optical analysis of reactions, and allows optical analysis to be conducted in real time. Included within the invention are kits comprising a microhole apparatus and a reaction component of the method(s) to be carried out in the apparatus.

摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided relating to evaporation of solvents from samples and to prolonging the time taken to carry out an evaporation procedure. A cap for engaging with an open end of a sample container comprises an engaging surface for engaging with the open end, and a body portion which extends over the open end. The body portion is preformed to define an opening which provides a fluid pathway between the open end of the container and the surroundings of the container, such that the cap impedes vapor flow from a sample in the container to the surroundings of the container. A holder for receiving a plurality of such caps is also provided and a method of evaporating a solvent from a sample in a sample container is described.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and system for generating droplets of an aqueous solution on a microfluidic chip with an air continuous phase. Specifically, the droplet generator according to the present invention is integrated into a microfluidic chip to generate and introduce droplets of an aqueous solution into the microfluidic chip. The droplets travelling in a network of chip channels may be captured in on-chip traps in a manner defined by hydrodynamic resistances of chip channels. A biological reaction may be performed on a droplet trapped on the microfluidic chip.

摘要: The disclosed embodiments relate to method, system and apparatus for assay testing. In an exemplary embodiment, the disclosure relates to a cartridge for testing an assay. The cartridge includes a sample reservoir to receive a mixture of a plurality of target particles and a ferrofluidic solution; a capture region formed on the cartridge; a fluidic channel to communicate the mixture between the sample reservoir and the capture region; a magnetic ferrofluidic solution positioned inside the fluidic channel; and at least one pneumatic valve to communicate a quantity of the mixture from the sample reservoir. The magnetic ferrofluidic solution is excitable in response to an externally applied electromagnetic field to affect the ferrofluidic solution in the mixture.

摘要: A safety cabinet has a second operation chamber in a first operation chamber and into which clean air is supplied, a second suction opening for sucking in air in the second operation chamber and a portion of the air in the first operation chamber, and a second operation opening part that is provided facing a first operation opening part and communicates the second operation chamber with the first operation chamber. Airflow containment (air barrier) is doubled with respect to the outside of a safety cabinet. In cases where decontamination and disinfection operations are carried out according to the changeover procedures, intensive decontamination and disinfection of the second operation chamber is sufficient, and decontamination and disinfection of the first operation chamber is hardly required. Decontamination and disinfection operations in the changeover procedures and the like can be carried out in a greatly reduced time.
