Various embodiments of the present invention are directed towards a system and method relating to depositing vapor in a sample. For example, a device includes a vapor source chamber configured to contain a vapor source material to generate vapor. An activation chamber is configured to contain a sample. The activation chamber is in fluid communication with the vapor source chamber to receive the vapor. A permeable separator divides the vapor source chamber and the activation chamber, and isolates the sample in the activation chamber while allowing vapor to pass between the vapor source chamber and the activation chamber. The device is sealable and configured to apply vacuum to the vapor and sample, to cause deposition of the vapor into the pumice stone samples.

A continuous solid-state polymerization device according to the present invention comprises: a feeder for injecting a prepolymer continuously; a transverse reactor connected to the feeder via a first connector to receive the prepolymer from the feeder and to perform solid-state polymerization, the reactor itself rotating; and a chamber connected to the transverse reactor via a second connector to receive a polymer, which has been discharged from the transverse reactor, and solid-state polymerization of which has been completed, and to discharge the polymer, wherein the transverse reactor has a demolding coating film formed on the inner wall thereof, and the feeder, the transverse reactor and the chamber are in a vacuum state. The continuous solid-state polymerization device can prevent formation of an interval, in which the prepolymer stagnates, and can perform solid-state polymerization continuously in a vacuum state without using inert gas.

The present invention relates to a solution reaction apparatus and solution reaction method using the same, and more particularly a solution reaction apparatus and a solution reaction method using the same, wherein a reaction vessel is made by using a sealing member, a reaction vessel forming member, and a substrate serving as the bottom part of the reaction vessel so as to cause one side of a reaction solution only to contact the solution, thereby adjusting the temperature of the substrate differently from the temperature of the solution. The solution reaction apparatus of the present invention can control temperature of the substrate and temperature of the reaction solution separately, thereby it can control the temperature of the solution above the boiling point of the solution, and can react the solution while constantly maintaining the concentration of the solution by the solution circulatory device. Accordingly, it has an effect of freely forming various nanostructures on the substrate.

Method for calibrating a device for measuring back pressure in open-ended chemical reactor tubes, comprising the steps of: providing a device for measuring back pressure in open-ended chemical reactor tubes, including a frame member and a plurality of injector tubes mounted on the frame member with a spacing between the injector tubes; providing a test stand, comprising a frame member; a base supporting said frame member; and a plurality of calibration tubes mounted on the frame member, each of said calibration tubes having an open top and a dosed bottom, with a precision orifice in the dosed bottom to simulate the chemical reactor tubes to be tested; inserting the plurality of injector tubes into the respective calibration tubes; sealing between the injector tubes and the calibration tubes; sending gas through the injector tubes and taking a back pressure reading for each of the injector tubes; and generating correction factors for each injector tube to correct for variations in the back pressure readings.

The invention also relates to a corresponding method for the thermal treatment of corrosive gases.
