    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas purifier which can effectively remove soot from exhaust gas of a diesel automobile such as a truck and a bus and the like, and which has a simple structure, and an exhaust gas purifier in which carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur oxides and the like can, in addition to hydrocarbons, be effectively removed from exhaust gas. The exhaust gas purifier of the present invention is equipped with an exhaust gas purifying tank accommodating, at an interior, an exhaust gas purifying liquid selected from lubricating oils and animal and vegetable oils; an exhaust gas introducing flow path provided at a bottom portion of the exhaust gas purifying tank, and introducing exhaust gas which is to be purified into the exhaust gas purifying liquid accommodated in the exhaust gas purifying tank; and an exhaust gas guide-out flow path which guides exhaust gas, which has flowed through the exhaust gas purifying liquid, out to an exterior of the exhaust gas purifying tank. The present invention further encompasses an exhaust gas purifier equipped with, in addition to a first exhaust gas purifying tank which is similar to the above-described exhaust gas purifying tank, a second exhaust gas purifying tank which accommodates, in an interior, a nitrogen oxide removing liquid such as water or an alkaline solution or the like.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for removing gasses and particulate matter from automobile exhaust. The apparatus includes a heat exchanger connected to an automobile exhaust system for cooling exhaust and condensing at least a portion of the exhaust into a liquid condensate. A fluid separator is connected to the heat exchanger and separates the condensate and at least some of the particulate matter from non-condensed gasses. The condensate is passed into a fluid holding tank. The condensate is treated in a first chemical reactor which neutralizes any acids present in the liquid. Non-condensed gasses flow into a second chemical reactor connected to the fluid separator. Gasses are reacted in the second chemical reactor with a substance which absorbs carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide and removes more of the particulate matter. The treated gasses are vented to atmosphere through an exhaust outlet.

    摘要: A diesel engine exhaust treatment device includes an exhaust flow divider in an exhaust path. The flow divider causes exhaust to flow EGR gas with PM unevenly distributed and remaining discharged gas in a divided manner. EGR gas is recirculated to a combustion chamber, and the discharged gas is atmospherically discharged. First and second corona discharge passages are provided at the exhaust flow divider. Corona discharge in the first discharge passage causes the PM, water vapor, and oxygen in the exhaust to generate electron attachment. Electrostatic force causes the exhaust to flow the EGR gas with the electron-attached PM, water vapor, and oxygen unevenly distributed and the remaining discharged gas in a divided manner. The discharged gas is guided to the second discharge passage. Corona discharge in the second discharge passage causes gas molecules in the discharged gas to dissociate, and NOx in the discharged gas is reduced to nitrogen.
