摘要: A method and a system for purification of oil, said method comprising the steps of: -providing separation aid and oil to be purified to at least one sedimentation tank; -waiting for allowing a sludge phase to sediment to a bottom part of the sedimentation tank, said sludge phase comprising the separation aid together with impurities from the oil; -removing an oil phase not comprising said sludge phase from the at least one sedimentation tank; and -filtering said oil phase through a depth filter for removing any possible remaining separation aid and impurities.

摘要: Wastesolution treatment systems and methods are provided which may remove particulates and hydrocarbons from wastesolution. Embodiments may be used to treat scrubber wastesolution from exhaust gas cleaning (“EGC”) systems. Some embodiments may be used with terrestrial EGC systems and others may be used for maritime ship EGC systems. Certain embodiments remove free phase oil and particulates from the wastesolution. Some embodiments may utilize a biogenerator cultured with hydrocarbon degrading microorganisms to reduce the concentration of oils in the water. Certain embodiments may utilize a clarifier and filtration unit to remove contaminants in the water. The wastesolution may be recirculated through the system until the measured contaminant concentration drops below a threshold value. The treated wastesolution may be stored, reused, or may be safely discharged from the system.

摘要: A method for thickening a cryogenic slurry is disclosed. The method comprises providing a cryogenic slurry flow path, a cryogenic liquid discharge path, and a filter medium between the cryogenic slurry flow path and the cryogenic liquid discharge path. The cryogenic slurry comprises a solid and a cryogenic liquid. The cryogenic slurry is fed into the cryogenic slurry flow path, generally tangential to the filter medium. This causes a portion of the cryogenic liquid to cross the filter medium into the cryogenic liquid discharge path as a cryogenic liquid discharge and the cryogenic slurry to thicken to produce a thickened slurry. The filter medium comprises a cryogenically-stable material such that adsorption of gases is inhibited, deposition of solids is prevented, and temperature-change induced expansion and contraction of the filter medium is optimized.

摘要: Provided is an oil-water separation structure, a method of manufacturing the same, an oil-water separator including the oil-water separation structure, and an oil-water separation method using the oil-water separator. The oil-water separation structure includes a porous substrate including a plurality of protrusions forming a nano-pattern on at least one surface; and an inorganic particle disposed at an end of at least some portions of the protrusions. The oil-water separation structure has hydrophilic or superhydrophilic surface properties to selectively filter out water and easily separate and retrieve oil from a mixture of water and oil. A manufacturing process of the oil-water separation structure is environmentally friendly and the oil-water separation structure may be manufactured into a large surface area. The oil-water separator including the oil-water separation structure may be repeatedly used and prevent additional environmental pollution.

In one embodiment, the material comprises a fibrous substrate and carbon nanotubes, both of which have at least one functional group attached thereto. There is also disclosed a method for separating one liquid from another liquid using the disclosed material. In one embodiment, the method comprises flowing a mixture of liquids through the disclosed material, and either coalescing or separating at least one liquid by use of the carbon nanotubes.

摘要: A cyclonic filter separator with liquid block capabilities formed to separate liquids in a fluid stream for on-stream and spot sampling of natural gas or the like, particularly pressurized process gas having liquid entrained therein, otherwise referenced as multiphase or “wet”. The present invention incorporates a liquid block apparatus downstream the cyclonic separator to provide to further prevent liquid passing therethrough, ensuring a dry gas sample stream for analysis or the like. A coalescing membrane may be situated intermediate the cyclonic separator and the liquid block, which coalescing membrane may further be linked to the liquid block such that differential pressure associated with the operative state of the membrane causes the liquid block to engage, blocking the flow of fluid therethrough.

摘要: Disclosed are a superhydrophilic surface body, a fabricating method thereof, and a filter for oil and water separation, including a superhydrophilic surface. The method for fabricating a superhydrophilic surface body includes a first step of forming a polyaniline nanofiber layer on a surface of a base material, a second step of changing the polyaniline nanofiber layer into a completely oxidized pernigraniline base state, a third step of forming a self-assembled monomolecular film having a polymer polymerization initiation functional group on a surface of the polyaniline nanofiber layer, and a fourth step of forming a silica layer on a surface of the self-assembled monomolecular film. In the third step, the polyaniline nanofiber layer is reduced to a leucoemeraldine state.

摘要: A filter structure capable of efficiently separating water and oil using wettability is provided. The filter structure according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a first filter layer including a plurality of openings, a second filter layer including a plurality of openings and positioned so as to be overlapped with the first filter layer at a distance from each other, and a hydrophobic polymer layer formed on surfaces of the first filter layer and the second filter layer. The first filter layer and the second filter layer include surfaces each having a dual-scale protrusion and depression structure as a combination of a micro-scale structure and a nano-scale structure, and the hydrophobic polymer layer is formed along curves of the protrusion and depression structure.
