摘要: A compact pressure energy recovery gas oil separation plant system includes a rotary separation turbine (RST) that receives a wild crude oil and separates at least 95% of gas and free water from the wild crude oil and discharges an RST outlet crude stream, a wet-dry heat exchanger for heating the RST outlet crude stream, thereby producing an exchanger outlet crude stream, a three-phase high-pressure-high-temperature (HPHT) separator that receives and separates gas and water from the exchanger outlet crude stream to achieve a Basic Sediment & Water specification of 0.2 v/v % or less, thereby producing an HPHT outlet crude stream, a high-pressure desalter and dehydrator (HPDD) that receives, desalts, and dehydrates the HPHT outlet crude stream, thereby further and producing an HPDD outlet crude stream, and a high-pressure stabilization column that receives and stabilizes the HPD outlet crude stream, thereby producing an export grade crude stream.

摘要: Systems and methods for controlling desalting and dehydration of crude oil, one method including monitoring total dissolved solids (TDS) content at an outlet stream from a crude oil separation unit, the outlet stream comprising water; monitoring basic sediment and water (BS&W) content at an outlet stream from the crude oil separation unit, the outlet stream comprising processed crude oil; determining pounds per thousand barrels (PTB) salt content and volumetric water content of a dried, desalted crude oil product stream using the TDS content and BS&W content; and controlling a process input to the method from a comparison between the PTB salt content and volumetric water content of the dried, desalted crude oil product stream versus a maximum set value for PTB salt content and volumetric water content of the dried, desalted crude oil product stream.

摘要: A modified gathering manifold is disclosed, including a sampling header coupled to each of multiple production lines of wells, and a plurality of diverters, each coupled to one of the production lines, upstream of a relief header coupled to each of the plurality of production lines and a production header associated with the manifold and coupled to each of the plurality of production lines. The sampling header receives a production fluid diverted by a diverter in the open position. The manifold also includes a three-phase separator coupled to the sampling header downstream of the plurality of diverters that separates the production fluid into crude oil, water, and gas, and detects a volume flow rate for each. A return header passes the crude oil, the water, and the gas from the three-phase separator into the production header where they are combined into a hydrocarbon fluid flow.

摘要: A crude oil demulsification system includes a vessel. A cyclonic separator is disposed outside the vessel. The cyclonic separator is configured to receive and separate phases of a multi-phase fluid stream into a gaseous stream and a liquid stream that includes a first liquid phase and a second liquid phase by inducing cyclonic flow. A heat exchanger is fluidically connected to the cyclonic separator. The heat exchanger is disposed outside the vessel, and is configured to receive the liquid stream and to heat the liquid stream by exchanging heat with a heating medium flowed through the heat exchanger. An electrostatic coalescer is fluidically connected to the heat exchanger and is disposed inside the vessel. The electrostatic coalescer is configured to receive the liquid stream heated by the heat exchanger and to demulsify the liquid stream by causing coalescence of liquid droplets of one of the first or second liquid phases.

That apparatus comprises a flow chamber with at least one inlet and at least one outlet.
