摘要: A method for delivering a product transportation device to a customer includes detecting, with machine vision, that a customer in a brick-and-mortar store is carrying one or more items without a product transportation device to transport the one or more items. An image is obtained of the customer carrying the one or more items without a product transportation device along with a location of the customer. The image and location are sent to a mobile device of an employee of the brick-and-mortar store. The employee delivers a product transportation device to the customer location and the customer is notified of the delivery of the product transportation device for transportation of the one or more items.

摘要: An electro-thermostatic expansion valve (ETXV) includes a valve body having a thermostatic actuator controlled by a Peltier thermoelectric module. The valve may be electronically controlled in response to measured parameters at critical locations in refrigeration, heating, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. A preferred method of controlling the ETXV valve involves the use of pressure or temperature sensors located on the expansion head of the ETXV or on an external device controlled by the ETXV. The sensors provide feedback signals to a micro-controller, and the micro-controller directly controls the thermoelectric module. An alternate method of controlling the new ETXV involves the use of operator inputs provided to a micro-controller which controls the thermoelectric module. The operator can manually adjust the micro-controller in response to observed process parameters. The ETXV can be configured to use one or both sides of the thermoelectric module to control the valve actuator.

摘要: A method of theft prevention and detection includes detecting movement of warehoused product by a person using one or more cameras; obtaining a first thermal image of a body of the person, with the one or more cameras, while the person is handling or moving the warehoused product; storing a physical size or shape of the warehoused product; obtaining a second thermal image of the body of the person, with the one or more cameras, subsequent to the obtaining of the first thermal image; determining thermal intensity differences by comparing the first thermal image of the body of the person to the second thermal image of the body of the person; detecting potential theft when the thermal intensity differences correlate to the physical size or shape of the warehoused product; and informing the person that the potential theft has been detected.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for determining the operability of a semiconductor chip including at least one bond between the semiconductor chip and at least one electrical lead, the at least one electrical lead having a first surface, the at least one bond connecting the first surface to the semiconductor chip. The apparatus has a handling carrier rigidly supporting the semiconductor chip, a test socket containing the handling carrier for providing an electrical path from the test socket to the at least one electrical lead and through the at least one bond to the semiconductor chip and back, and a computer for applying an electrical signal to the electrical path for generating an output signal. A gas nozzle is provided, positionable near the first surface, for directing a gas flow at the first surface while an electrical signal is applied. The gas flow generates a force on the electrical lead in a direction away from the semiconductor chip. The computer compares the output signal with a predetermined, characteristic signal to determine operability of the semiconductor chip.
