摘要: A secure remote actuation system includes a remote input receptor that receives one or more user inputs from a user, a cloud-based network stores the one or more acceptable inputs, a network device obtains the one or more user inputs from the remote input receptor, the network device obtains the one or more user inputs from the remote input receptor while the user is using the user interface, a cloud-based network compares the one or more user inputs to the one or more acceptable inputs, the acceptable inputs at least partially derived from dynamically changing environmental parameters, and a remote device is controlled based on the comparison of the one or more user inputs to the one or more acceptable inputs.

摘要: Disclosed herein are low data rate electronic devices capable of wireless communication at ranges of thousands of meters. These devices may be such things as keypads, door latches, occupancy monitors, sprinkler controllers and others in a campus or a collection of buildings. Devices may measure the quality of a communications link on a channel, and apply varying levels of redundancy based upon a recent history of success and failure of packet transmission to other distant devices, which measurement may be a value of badness increased as errors are encountered and decreased as packet communication is successful. Devices may include an exterior indicator as to the present latency in communication, permitting an expectation of how patient a user should be before finding an error has occurred. 摘要: Methods for negotiating optimum parameters for communicating between a wireless control device and a wireless user device are disclosed. The methods generally include transmitting a frequency-hopped and spread negotiation signal using network-maximum parameters. The initial parameters make the negotiation signal long-range but low-data. The methods further include adjusting the initial parameters to optimal parameters based on a link budget and data rate requirements received in response to the negotiation signal. The signals are communicated on the 902-928 MHz unlicensed ISM band, and the parameters include spreading factor, output power, and carrier frequency channel bandwidth.

摘要: A secure remote actuation system is described herein. The system may comprise a remote input receptor and a network. The remote input receptor may comprise a user interface for receiving user inputs from a user. The network may comprise a combination of computer systems interconnected by telecommunications equipment or cables allowing information to be exchanged. The network may also comprise a network device for obtaining the user inputs from the remote input receptor. The network device may comprise an internal memory unit. One or more acceptable inputs may be stored on the network. In the present invention, the network device obtains the user inputs from the remote input receptor while the user is using the user interface and then the network compares the user inputs to the acceptable inputs.

摘要: A dual modulation network is disclosed. The dual modulation network includes a primary network hub (PNH) having a PNH Long range transceiver and a PNH microcontroller. The PNH microcontroller has communication firmware for long range spread spectrum (SS) and narrowband frequency shift keying (FSK) signal communication via the PNH Long range transceiver, and includes a PNH clock signal. The dual modulation network also includes a peripheral device (PD). The PD includes an actuation mechanism, a PD Long range transceiver, and a PD microcontroller. The PD microcontroller has actuation firmware, communication firmware for communication via the PD Long range transceiver, and location firmware, and includes a clock signal. The location firmware instructs the PD long range transceiver to transmit a location signal encoded with a PD transmit time stamp notifying a receiving device of the time the PD transmitted the location signal.

摘要: Low data rate wireless electronic devices utilizing a hub- or star-based network topology, operational at ranges of thousands of meters. Remote end-devices may be such things as keypads, door latches, occupancy monitors, sprinkler controllers and other devices controlled or monitored in a campus or a collection of buildings. End-devices operate at intermediate ranges in RF congested areas and failure-intolerant situations through the use of discrete programmable channels. Each end-device carries a unique identifier and uses a common default initialization channel to accept an operational channel assignment from the hub, without a configuring or programming step at the end-device by an installing person. After assignment the end-device can utilize a low-power listening mode that avoids processor-awakening events due to orthogonality of the operational channels.
