摘要: The present disclosure concerns embodiments of multi-lumen cannulae that can be used in various different medical procedures. The multi-lumen cannulae can comprise an elongated body comprising multiple different ports that connect to various different sidewall lumens contained within the elongated body. The multi-lumen cannulae can also comprise a central lumen that extends through the entire elongated body and can be fluidly connected to the various different sidewall lumens. The multi-lumen cannulae can further comprise two balloons on an exterior of the elongated body, which can be used to isolate a right atrium of a patient's heart.

摘要: A non-occluding drug-coated balloon catheter device for use in a blood vessel transporting blood comprises a catheter shaft including a guidewire lumen, a fluid lumen and a connector port. A balloon is mounted on the catheter shaft and includes an outer envelope surrounding the guidewire lumen in fluid communication with the fluid lumen; a drug coating applied on the exterior surface of the outer envelope; and at least one bypass lumen forming a passage extending from the proximal end of the outer envelope to the distal end of the outer envelope. When the balloon is positioned in a blood vessel and inflated, the exterior surface of the outer envelope presses the drug coating against the blood vessel and the bypass lumen is open between the distal end of the outer envelope and the proximal end of the outer envelope such that blood transport continues through the bypass lumen.

摘要: This patent document discloses perfusion catheters and related methods for treating complications related to CTO interventions or dilating a vessel occlusion while maintaining a passage through the treated vessel segment. A perfusion catheter can include an inflatable balloon coiled in a helical manner around a central axis into a series of windings. An inner surface of the series of windings, when inflated, can define a passage through the inflatable balloon. A catheter can also include an elongate shaft extending from a proximal portion to a distal portion, having an inner surface that defines a lumen for providing inflation fluid to, or withdrawing inflation fluid from, a distal end of the inflatable balloon. A catheter can further include a guidewire support tube including a lumen, separate from the lumen from the elongate shaft and the passage through the inflatable balloon, for receiving a guidewire.

摘要: A coated balloon device for stabilizing a section of a blood vessel in a living subject is disclosed. The coating layer of the coated balloon comprises a phenolic compound having a plurality of phenolic groups connected to form a hydrophobic core with peripheral phenolic hydroxyl groups. The coating layer of the coated balloon may contain a hydrophilic polymer to facilitate the release of the phenolic compound. The balloon in general is made of a compliant polymer for atraumatic contact with the blood vessel. In some embodiments, the coating of the coated balloon device further comprises a hydrophilic undercoat layer between the balloon and the coating layer. In some embodiments, the coated balloon device further comprises a sacrificial top coating that dissolves upon delivery into the section of the blood vessel and comprises a hydrophilic composition including sugar, sugar derivatives, or a combination thereof.

摘要: An apparatus for performing a medical procedure and, in particular, an aortic valvuloplasty, in a vessel for transmitting a flow of fluid includes a first inflatable balloon, such a perfusion balloon with a plurality of cells in a single cross-section of the balloon for permitting the fluid flow in the vessel. An inflatable valve, which may take the form of a second inflatable balloon, may be provided for controlling the fluid, flow through the first balloon when inflated. Through selective movement of the second balloon when inflated via the flow rhythms created by the beating heart, a one way valve results that can be used to mimic the natural flow created by the valve under treatment.

摘要: Various systems and methods are provided for reducing pressure at an outflow of a duct, such as the thoracic duct or the lymphatic duct, for example, the right lymphatic duct. A catheter system can be configured to be at least partially implanted within a vein of a patient in the vicinity of an outflow port of a duct of the lymphatic system. The catheter system includes first and second selectively deployable restriction members each configured to be activated to at least partially occlude the vein within which the catheter is implanted and to thus restrict fluid within a portion of the vein. The catheter system includes an impeller configured to be driven by a motor to induce a low pressure zone between the restriction members by causing blood to be pumped through the catheter when the restriction members occlude the vein.

摘要: Catheters for occluding, visualizing, irrigating, evacuating, and delivering agents to a treatment area are disclosed. The catheters comprise a catheter body comprising five lumens, first and second occlusion balloons coupled to the catheter body, an optional space-occupying balloon coupled to the catheter body and disposed between the first and second occlusion balloons, and an optional visualization means that enables visualization between the first and second occlusion balloons. Methods for using these catheters are also disclosed. A method comprises inflating the first and second occlusion balloons, inflating the space-occupying balloon, allowing fluid to exit via an evacuation lumen, optionally irrigating or aspirating to facilitate fluid exit via said lumen, and delivering an agent to a treatment area via the agent lumen.
