    摘要: A system for cleansing wounds with a fluid jet includes a pressure pump (900) for generating a fluid jet, a handpiece body (200) with a nozzle (204) for emerging the fluid jet, a fluid line (90) connecting the pressure pump (900) with the handpiece body (200), an adapter (700) holding a porous body (510), the adapter (700) being releasably connected to the handpiece body (200). The adapter (700) and the porous body (510) comprise a free inner space (770, 570) into which the fluid jet emerges when leaving the nozzle (204). The adapter (700) is at least partially transparent, thereby enabling a view into the inner space of the adapter and the porous body. The system according to the invention combines the advantages of cleansing by a fluid jet with the advantages of mechanical cleansing and, at the same time, provides effective protection against aerosols.

    摘要: This disclosure includes wound dressings and systems with remote oxygen generation for topical wound therapy and related methods. Some systems include a dressing for facilitating delivery of oxygen to the target tissue, the dressing having: a first manifold that defines a plurality of gas passageways and is configured to allow communication of oxygen to the target tissue; a gas-occlusive layer configured to be disposed over the first manifold and coupled to tissue surrounding the target tissue such that: an interior volume is defined between the gas-occlusive layer and the target tissue; and the gas-occlusive layer limits escape of oxygen from the interior volume between the gas-occlusive layer and the tissue surrounding the target tissue; a container outside the interior volume, the container having a sidewall that defines a chamber configured to be in fluid communication with the interior volume; and an oxygen-generating material disposed within the chamber of container and configured to release oxygen when exposed to water.

    摘要: Aspiration catheter systems are described that implement a procedure for aspirating a clot from a blood vessel using an aspiration catheter system, the method comprising:
    initiating calibrated continuous aspiration;
    evaluating aspiration measurements; and
    adjusting application of aspiration based on aspiration measurements. In particular, pulsed aspiration can be applied selectively in response to flow measurements, such as values of the flow rate below a threshold value. The automated system can also use flow measurement to determine if the clot is presumably cleared as well as estimating the clot hardness. Effective aspiration can be applied with aspiration off periods shorter than the aspiration on periods. The corresponding aspiration system can comprise an automated system with a controller, an automatic valve, a flow rate sensor, a filter, and generally a pressure sensor. The catheter can be a full length aspiration catheter or a distal access aspiration catheter sharing the aspiration lumen with a guide catheter.
