摘要: A system for cleansing wounds with a fluid jet includes a pressure pump (900) for generating a fluid jet, a handpiece body (200) with a nozzle (204) for emerging the fluid jet, a fluid line (90) connecting the pressure pump (900) with the handpiece body (200), an adapter (700) holding a porous body (510), the adapter (700) being releasably connected to the handpiece body (200). The adapter (700) and the porous body (510) comprise a free inner space (770, 570) into which the fluid jet emerges when leaving the nozzle (204). The adapter (700) is at least partially transparent, thereby enabling a view into the inner space of the adapter and the porous body. The system according to the invention combines the advantages of cleansing by a fluid jet with the advantages of mechanical cleansing and, at the same time, provides effective protection against aerosols.

摘要: A dressing for treating a tissue site with negative pressure may comprise a first polymer film having a plurality of fluid restrictions, and a second polymer film comprising a plurality of standoffs disposed adjacent to the first polymer film. The first polymer film and the second polymer film may be substantially transparent to allow observation of the tissue site. In some embodiments, at least some of the standoffs may be offset from the fluid restrictions. The second polymer film may comprise fluid passages adjacent to the standoffs in some examples.

摘要: This disclosure includes wound dressings and systems with remote oxygen generation for topical wound therapy and related methods. Some systems include a dressing for facilitating delivery of oxygen to the target tissue, the dressing having: a first manifold that defines a plurality of gas passageways and is configured to allow communication of oxygen to the target tissue; a gas-occlusive layer configured to be disposed over the first manifold and coupled to tissue surrounding the target tissue such that: an interior volume is defined between the gas-occlusive layer and the target tissue; and the gas-occlusive layer limits escape of oxygen from the interior volume between the gas-occlusive layer and the tissue surrounding the target tissue; a container outside the interior volume, the container having a sidewall that defines a chamber configured to be in fluid communication with the interior volume; and an oxygen-generating material disposed within the chamber of container and configured to release oxygen when exposed to water.

摘要: Aspiration catheter systems are described that implement a procedure for aspirating a clot from a blood vessel using an aspiration catheter system, the method comprising:
initiating calibrated continuous aspiration;
evaluating aspiration measurements; and
adjusting application of aspiration based on aspiration measurements. In particular, pulsed aspiration can be applied selectively in response to flow measurements, such as values of the flow rate below a threshold value. The automated system can also use flow measurement to determine if the clot is presumably cleared as well as estimating the clot hardness. Effective aspiration can be applied with aspiration off periods shorter than the aspiration on periods. The corresponding aspiration system can comprise an automated system with a controller, an automatic valve, a flow rate sensor, a filter, and generally a pressure sensor. The catheter can be a full length aspiration catheter or a distal access aspiration catheter sharing the aspiration lumen with a guide catheter.-

摘要: A method for removing a stone from a patient comprising the steps of: providing a suction evacuation assembly which includes a sheath and one or more side arms; inserting and positioning a distal end of the sheath into a lumen or cavity of a patient's body containing a stones; connecting a tube to one of the side arms and to a collection bottle; connecting another tube to the collection bottle and a negative pressure system; visualizing the stone or foreign body using a scope inserted through the assembly; activating the negative pressure system in order to remove the stone from the cavity if the diameter of the stone is narrower than an inside diameter of the sheath and the side arm, or performing a lithotripsy on the stone to create fragments with a decreased diameter which allow the passage through the assembly; and collecting the stone in the collection bottle.

摘要: This disclosure describes devices, systems, and methods related to therapy devices including pumps that are operable in multiple operating modes. An exemplary wound therapy device includes a pump configured to be worn by a user and a controller coupled to the pump and configured to transition the pump from operating in a first operating mode to operating in a second operating mode responsive to a pressure of the wound therapy device satisfying a first pressure threshold. The first operating mode is associated with a first drive voltage that is different from a second drive voltage associated with the second operating mode.

摘要: The disclosure relates to devices and methods for the treatment of edema which devices use an intravascular edema pump with an anticoagulant. The invention provides devices and methods for treating edema that use an indwelling catheter to place an impeller in a blood vessel of a patient, near an outlet of a lymphatic duct. Operating the impeller creates a local depression in blood pressure, which promotes drainage of lymph from the lymphatic system. The catheter is also used to release an anticoagulant such as heparin to wash and lubricate the impeller. Specifically, the anticoagulant inhibits clotting, hemolysis, or thrombosis from occurring and interfering with smooth operation of the impeller.

摘要: Some illustrative embodiments of an instillation assembly for treating a tissue site may include a fluid distribution lumen and a fluid hub that may define a fluid instillation pathway. The fluid distribution lumen may be defined by a first film layer and a second film layer, and the fluid hub may be positioned in fluid communication with the fluid distribution lumen. The instillation assembly may be used in combination with a reduced-pressure assembly that may define a reduced-pressure pathway separate from the fluid instillation pathway.
