Abstract: The invention provides a callus induction medium for blueberry tissue culture, taking woody plant medium (WPM) as a basic medium, and including: 0.5-5.0 mg/L forchlorfenuron (CPPU) and 0.1-0.4 mg/L 2-isopentenyladenine (2-ip). The present invention also provides a callus culture method for blueberry, including inoculating the blueberry explant into the above callus induction medium to conduct induction culture in order to form blueberry callus. The present invention also discloses the medium combination and culture method to culture the above blueberry callus to blueberry tissue culture plant. For the above medium and culture method, the differentiation effect is good, efficiency is high, one can conduct continuous differentiation, and the effect is better on multiple varieties.

Abstract: A water-triggered energy transformation system may include a water transportation assembly and an energy transformation assembly, wherein the water transportation assembly includes a water inlet, a water tank, a plurality of water pump, and water pipelines to transport the water from the water tank to a water outlet; and the energy transformation assembly includes a water turbine with a plurality of magnets thereon, a pair of magnetic control switches, a plurality of electromagnetic coils, a plurality of magnets, and a plurality of LED lighting fixtures. Clean water flows into the system from the water inlet and then flows to the water tank, and the water can be lifted by the water pumps to the water outlet to drive the water turbine to cause the magnets thereon to change positions to further trigger the magnetic control switches and electromagnetic coils to generate electric current to power the LED lighting fixtures.

Abstract: Provided is a method of producing plant embryos having improved embryo quality or germination frequency comparing to embryos developed by conventional methods. The method entails the steps of (a) incubating plant embryogenic suspensor mass (ESM) in, or on, a standard development medium supplied with glucose for a first incubation period to develop immature somatic embryos; (b) mass transferring the immature somatic embryos to a modified development medium near or at cotyledon stage; and (c) incubating the immature somatic embryos in, or on, the modified development medium for a second incubation period to develop mature somatic embryos. The modified development medium contains reduced concentration of glucose or is glucose-free and the osmolality of the modified development medium is adjusted to compensate for the loss of osmolality due to reduction or removal of glucose.

Abstract: The cultivation, by optimized growth and harvesting of algae derived bio-mass may provide useful feedstock for various products and processes. The present invention provides an apparatus that allows for the optimized growth and harvesting of algae within a photo-bioreactor. The photo-bioreactor may include a channel and a propulsion unit for circulating an algae mixture through a channel while exposing the algae mixture to light to support photosynthesis and growth of the algae. A method is also provided for the optimizing the growth and harvesting of algae utilizing a number of different input streams.
