Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for performing a beam management procedure. A method is performed by a network node. The method comprises obtaining configuration information from a terminal device for which the network node provides network access. The configuration information specifies that the terminal device is in need for evaluating different polarization states in different time units during the beam management procedure. The method comprises performing the beam management procedure with the terminal device. The beam management procedure involves the network node to, per slot, transmit reference signals according to a reference signal transmission scheme. The reference signal transmission scheme depends on the obtained configuration information.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes receiving a downlink signal comprising an uplink access configuration index, using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among a predetermined plurality of uplink access configurations, and transmitting to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. The example method further includes, in the same wireless device, receiving, in a first subframe, a first Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission formatted according to a first numerology and receiving, in a second subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology, the second numerology differing from the first numerology. Variants of this method, corresponding apparatuses, and corresponding network-side methods and apparatuses are also disclosed.

Abstract: There is provided an antenna arrangement for a radio transceiver device for simultaneous use of two polarization directions. The antenna arrangement comprises at least two baseband chains. Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for estimating angle of arrival of a radio signal in a radio communications network. A method is performed by a receiving radio transceiver device. The method comprises obtaining measurements of the radio signal as received in two receive beams covering a given angular sector. The two receive beams are created by analog beamforming in an antenna array. The receive beams have different complex beam patterns and at any angle within the given angular sector at most one of the complex beam patterns has gain below a threshold. The method comprises estimating the angle of arrival of the radio signal by comparing a complex amplitude of the measurements in the two receive beams to a discriminator function.

Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for obtaining channel conditions per antenna element of an antenna array comprising N antenna elements. The antenna array is configured for communications using orthogonal sub-carriers. A method is performed by a radio transceiver device. The method comprises obtaining channel conditions of a radio propagation channel per sub-carrier for signals received on the sub-carriers by the antenna array. A set of receiving entities are associated with the sub-carriers in an interleaved manner such that each receiving entity is interleaved over a respective disjoint subset of sub-carriers. The method comprises transforming the channel conditions at least for those sub-carriers located within a coherence bandwidth of the radio propagation channel to channel conditions for the N antenna elements by using a relation that maps the receiving entities to the N antenna elements.
