Abstract: A liquid crystal display is fabricated which has bus wires disposed in a grid shape, switching elements coupled to the bus wires, and pixel electrodes which are disposed on an interlayer insulating film formed by coating and which are coupled with the switching elements. In fabricating the liquid crystal display, when a transparent conductive film is formed on the interlayer insulating film which is formed by coating, the temperature of the substrate is controlled to become 100° C.-170° C. In another embodiment, when the transparent conductive film is formed on the interlayer insulating film in a non-heated condition, an oxygen flow rate ratio is set to 1% or lower, and annealing is performed after forming the film. Thereby, when etching the ITO film on the interlayer insulating film, etching residue is not produced. Further, contact resistance between the ITO film and the lower layer metal can be uniformly decreased, and display defects can be obviated.

Abstract: A radio communication device according to the present invention adaptively controls directivity of a transmission radio signal by using a plurality of element antennas on the basis of a received radio signal received from a communication target counterpart radio communication device. The radio communication device includes a transmission controller configured to process the transmission radio signal according to a first control method for adaptively controlling the directivity, a propagation path state detector configured to detect fluctuation state of a propagation path to a counterpart radio communication device, and a judgment unit configured to judge whether or not to change the directivity on the basis of the fluctuation state of the propagation path. If it is judged that the directivity is to be changed, the transmission controller switches to a second control method that is different from the first control method, and processes the transmission radio signal according to the second control method.

Abstract: A combined wet etching method for stacked films which is capable of performing etching processes in a collective manner while controlling an amount of side-etching on each of stacked films and of making uniform side edges. In the wet etching method, two or more types of etching methods are performed in combination, on stacked films containing first and second films being deposited sequentially on a substrate and each having a different film property. The two or more types of wet etching methods include, at least, a first wet etching method in which side-etching on the first film is facilitated more than side-etching on the second film and a second wet etching method in which side-etching on the second film is facilitated more than side-etching on the first film.
