摘要: A vehicle includes an engine, an alternator, and a battery bank electrically connected to the alternator via a connection line. The connection line includes a current sensor configured to measure an electrical current through the connection line. The vehicle also includes a start-stop system configured to determine, during a time when the engine is off, that a voltage of the battery bank is below a first threshold value for a first predetermined period, provide a control signal to a starter to start the engine to initiate charging of battery bank, determine, by the current sensor, that the electrical current is below a second threshold value, and in response to the determination, provide a control signal to turn the engine off to terminate the charging of the battery bank.

The auxiliary AC system is configured to turn off the auxiliary AC system in response to receiving the first indication and restart the auxiliary AC system in response to receiving the second indication.

摘要: A control device for a vehicle includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to: execute first automatic stop control for automatically stopping an engine when a first condition is established during traveling of the vehicle; execute second stop control for automatically stopping the engine when a second condition is established during stop of the vehicle; predict a vehicle stop duration; calculate a required cold and heat storage amount of an evaporator; calculate a reaching time until a cold and heat storage amount of the evaporator reaches the required cold and heat storage amount; predict a time needed for vehicle stop; and when the first condition is established during traveling of the vehicle, in a case where the calculated reaching time is equal to or longer than the predicted time needed for vehicle stop, automatically stop the internal combustion engine during traveling of the vehicle.

摘要: An engine controller includes a reading section and a ratio-setting control section. The reading section is included in an air conditioner. The air conditioner draws an air into an air-conditioner housing, heats the air by a cooling water cooling the engine, and blows the air into a vehicle compartment. The reading section reads a state information that relates to a state of the air conditioner having an effect on an outside-air drawing ratio. The outside-air drawing ratio is a ratio of a volume of an outside air to a total volume of the outside air and an inside air. The ratio-setting control section decreases an amount of heat generated by the engine when the outside-air drawing ratio is a second ratio, which is smaller than a first ratio, to be smaller than an amount of heat generated by the engine when the outside-air drawing ratio is the first ratio.

摘要: An auxiliary machine-driving device has a first idler roller having an outer peripheral surface biased into contact with the outer peripheral surfaces of a motor/generator roller and an engine roller, a second idler roller having an outer peripheral surface biased into contact with the outer peripheral surfaces of the engine roller and a rotating roller, and a third idler roller having an outer peripheral surface biased into contact with the outer peripheral surfaces of the rotating roller and the motor/generator roller. When the engine starts, the engine is started by transmitting the driving force of the motor/generator to the engine via the motor/generator roller, the first idler roller and the engine roller. After the engine starts, power is generated from the driving force of the engine being transmitted to the motor/generator via the engine roller, the second idler roller, the rotating roller, the third idler roller and the motor/generator roller.

The at least one controller is programmed to inhibit the auto-stop of the engine in response to receiving an auto-stop request while the engine is on and the heating element has been operating less than a predetermined time. In some configurations, the at least one controller is programmed to auto-start the engine and operate the heating element at a full power level in response to expiration of a time period that began with an auto-stop of the engine that occurred after the engine auto-stop was inhibited.
