A device information acquirer acquires device information of each electrical device of a plurality of electrical devices from a control apparatus. A device information display associates and displays on a screen an identifier, an expected installation location, and a device state for each electrical device based on the device information of each electrical device acquired by the device information acquirer. The device information acquirer acquires from the control apparatus the device state information of an electrical device of interest newly collected by the control apparatus after the electrical device installed at the expected installation location of the electrical device of interest is operated by the user. The device information display explicitly shows on the screen whether the device state of the electrical device has changed due to the operation by the user based on the device state information of the electrical device of interest acquired by the device information acquirer.

A location setter (241) displays on a display a floor plane that shows an inside of a home and an icon that is associated with the appliance based on the acquired appliance information, and positions the icon on the floor plane in accordance with a user operation. A measurement requestor (242) acquires a radio quality index for the appliance corresponding to the icon positioned on the floor plan from the home controller. A measurement result display (243) changes a display mode of the icon positioned on the floor plan, in accordance with the radio quality index acquired for the appliance.

An acquirer acquires information concerning an energy management system for controlling a plurality of apparatuses installed in a dwelling. A display displays, in a first display region, the information acquired by the acquirer, and displays, in a second display region, a layout diagram in which images indicating the apparatuses are arranged at positions corresponding to installation locations of the apparatuses in the dwelling. Upon a determination that the information displayed in the first display region includes information concerning a specific apparatus among the plurality of apparatuses, the display displays with relative emphasis an image indicating the specific apparatus in the second display region.

In an appliance control system, a receiver receives, from a terminal device used by a first user, an instruction for remotely controlling an appliance installed in a home. A determiner determines whether a second user is present in a location in which an appliance-to-be-instructed is installed. When it is determined that the second user is not present in a location in which the appliance-to-be-instructed is installed, an appliance controller controls the appliance on the basis of the instruction. On the other hand, when it is determined that the second user is present in the location in which the appliance-to-be-instructed is installed, the appliance controller does not control the appliance.

A prediction calculator uses a prediction model to determine a predicted value of an amount of power to be generated by a power generation apparatus and a predicted value of an amount of power to be consumed by an appliance. The predicted values are associated with accuracy information. An operation planner makes an operation plan using the predicted values determined by the prediction calculator, a user schedule included in user setting information, and an electricity rate table or weather forecast information. When the accuracy of the predicted value is lower than a predetermined reference, the operation planner makes the operation plan only using other information without using the predicted value.

Upon receiving a command signal transmitted from a remote controller (100), based on contents of the received command signal, a setter of an electrical apparatus sets a time interval for prohibition of operation from an operation terminal. A auxiliary memory stores the power measurement results. An inputter is used for selecting an object included in an image displayed by a display part. Each time a user uses the inputter to select an object included in the image, the controller changes the image displayed by the display part to a new image in accordance with the selected object.
