    摘要: According to one embodiment, a search device includes a first comparison module, a determination module, a correction module, a second comparison module, and a search module. The first comparison module compares a received first key with a second key read from a nonvolatile memory. The determination module determines whether error correction is possible based on a first comparison result obtained by the first comparison module. The correction module generates a third key by applying an error correction process to the second key if the determination module determines that error correction is possible. The second comparison module compares the first key with the third key. The search module reads data associated with the second key in the nonvolatile memory if a second comparison result obtained by the second comparison module shows a match.

The assignment unit assigns logical address spaces to spaces. Each of the spaces is assigned to at least one write management area included in a nonvolatile memory. The write management area is a unit of an area which manages the number of write. The transmission unit transmits a command for the nonvolatile memory and identification data of a space assigned to a logical address space corresponding to the command.

The controller performs data transfer, stores management information including a storage position of the data stored in the second storing unit into the first storing unit, and performs data management while updating the management information. The storage position information is read by the controller during a startup operation of the memory system and includes a second pointer indicating a storage position of management information in a latest state in the management information storage area and a first pointer indicating a storage position of the second pointer. The first pointer is stored in a fixed area in the second storing unit and the second pointer is stored in an area excluding the fixed area in the second storing unit.
