    Abstract: A refrigeration cycle device has a compressor, a radiator, a decompressor, an evaporator, a heat medium cooling evaporator, a cooling target device, a detector, and a controller. The heat medium cooling evaporator cools a cooling heat medium by performing a heat exchange between the refrigerant decompressed in the decompressor and the cooling heat medium. The cooling heat medium cools the cooling target device. The detector detects a subcooling state of the cooling target device having a temperature lower than or equal to a reference temperature. Upon the detection of the subcooling state in the cooling target device by the detector, the controller increases the degree of superheat of the refrigerant flowing out of the heat medium cooling heat exchanger as compared to the degree of superheat of the refrigerant flowing out of the heat medium cooling heat exchanger when the detector does not detect the subcooling state.

    Abstract: A refrigeration cycle device includes a compressor, a condenser, a first decompressor, an outside heat exchanger, and an evaporator. A predetermined part of a refrigerant passage from the condenser to the first decompressor through which the refrigerant flows is a condenser outlet portion. A predetermined part of a refrigerant passage from the first decompressor to the outside heat exchanger through which the refrigerant flows is an outside heat exchanger inlet portion. A predetermined part of a refrigerant passage from the outside heat exchanger to the second decompressor through which the refrigerant flows is an outside heat exchanger outlet portion. A volume capacity of the condenser outlet portion is larger than a volume capacity of the outside heat exchanger inlet portion. According to the refrigeration cycle device, preferable coefficient of performance of cycle can be achieved in different operation modes.

    Abstract: An air conditioning system has a heat pump, a first-liquid-medium circuit in which a first liquid medium circulates, a second-liquid-medium circuit in which a second liquid medium circulates, a heat source, a connection switching device, and a controller. The connection switching device switches between a connection state in which the heat source is connected to the second-liquid-medium circuit and a disconnection state in which the heat source is disconnected from the second-liquid-medium circuit. The controller controls the connection switching device to switch between the connection state and the disconnection state based on a heat-related physical quantity relating to a heat of the first-liquid-medium circuit, a heat-related physical quantity a heat of the second-liquid-medium circuit, a heat-related physical quantity the heat generated by the heat source, or a heat-related physical quantity a heat of the heat pump.

    Abstract: A vehicle air conditioning apparatus includes: at least one processor programmed to control a flow rate of at least one of a heat medium and outside air flowing through a heat medium-to-outside air heat exchanger such that a temperature of blast air cooled in an air-cooling heat exchanger is adjusted toward a first target temperature, and to control a flow rate of a refrigerant discharged from a compressor such that a temperature of blast air, which has been adjusted in at least one of the air-cooling heat exchanger and an air-heating heat exchanger and which is blown out into a vehicle interior, is adjusted toward a second target temperature. Accordingly, a surface temperature of the air-cooling heat exchanger and the temperature of the blast air into the vehicle interior can be properly controlled.

    Abstract: A flow passage switching unit includes side-by-side arranged rotary valve parts. The valve part includes a casing, side walls, a peripheral wall, first fluid ports, a second fluid port, a rotary shaft, and a valving element. A flow passage, through which the first fluid ports and the second fluid port selectively communicate, is formed by rotation of the valving element. The unit includes a driving mechanism driving each valving element by its corresponding predetermined rotation angle. The driving mechanism includes one driving source, and a motive power transmission member transmitting rotation motive power of the driving source respectively to the valve parts. Motive power of the driving source is transmitted to each rotary shaft of the valve parts to drive each valving element to a position, which position of the valving element relative to the first and second fluid ports is different from one another among the valve parts.

    Abstract: A refrigeration cycle device includes a refrigeration cycle, an outdoor heat exchanger, a cooling necessity determination unit, a determination reference setting unit, and a cooling control unit. The cooling necessity determination unit determines whether or not to cool a battery depending on whether or not a physical quantity that correlates with a temperature of the battery is equal to or more than a predetermined reference physical quantity. The determination reference setting unit sets the reference physical quantity for the cooling necessity determination unit according to the outdoor heat exchanger functioning as a heat absorber or radiator. When the outdoor heat exchanger functions as heat absorber, the determination reference setting unit sets a second reference physical quantity smaller than a first reference physical quantity set when the outdoor heat exchanger functions as radiator.
