摘要: Methods for tagging content in a video game title during game play executed on a game cloud system, and social sharing methods. One method includes receiving a pause indication during the game play and suspending the game play to hold the video game title in a current frame image, storing the game state, and receiving the tag data that is associated to a location in the current frame image and to a user identifier for the current frame image. The method further includes generating a video recording of the game play having the tag data and generating a mini-game from a portion of the video game title. The mini-game includes a playable portion to enable view of a portion of the video recording for the mini-game and an executable portion to enable the play of game code for the mini-game that is a portion of the video game title.

摘要: Graphics processing includes setting up a plurality of objects in a scene in virtual space, each object being defined by a set of vertices. A unique object identifier is assigned to each object and written to an ID buffer. Draw calls are issued to draw the objects associated with the object identifiers. Parameter values of the vertices are manipulated to output vertex parameter values. Primitives are set up from the vertices, each primitive being defined by one or more of the vertices. Each primitive belongs to one or more of the objects. Each primitive is rasterized at a plurality of pixels. Processing the pixels includes spatial or temporal anti-aliasing that utilizes the one or more object identifiers of the plurality of object identifiers. The pixels are processed for each rasterized primitive to generate an output frame.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for presenting nostalgic items in a user interface. One method includes an operation for identifying, by a server, a plurality of nostalgia groups, each nostalgia group including one or more group parameters that define which multimedia items are associated with the nostalgia group, such as a time period. The method further includes operations for determining membership of a user in a first nostalgia group from the plurality of nostalgia groups based on user information about the user, and for receiving a request from a computing device of the user to access a multimedia interface. The method further includes operations for selecting one or more nostalgia multimedia items for the user based on the membership of the user in the first nostalgia group, and for sending the multimedia interface that includes the selected one or more nostalgia multimedia items.

摘要: A server center for hosting low-latency streaming interactive audio/video (A/V) includes a plurality of servers that run one or more applications and an inbound routing network that receives packet streams from users via a first network interface and routes the packets to one or more of the servers. The packet streams include user control input. One or more of the servers are operable to compute A/V data responsive to the user control input. A compression unit is coupled to receive the A/V data from the one or more of the servers and output compressed A/V data therefrom. An output routing network that routes the compressed A/V data to each of the users over a corresponding communication channel via a second interface, the compression unit is operable to modify a compression rate responsive to current characteristics of the corresponding communication channel for each user so as to optimize performance of the one or more applications.

摘要: Methods, systems, graphical computer interfaces, and computer readable media are disclosed to enable optimizing video frame rendering characteristics for an application. The method includes rendering a video frame and capturing push buffer settings representing the rendering of the video frame. The method also includes modifying an aspect of the push buffer settings while bypassing the application, and re-rendering the frame with the modified aspect. The method further enables comparing the rendering with the re-rendering, and presenting comparison results. Graphical user interfaces are provided to enable the functionality, without having to modify code of the application to appreciate what potential changes to the application can present in terms of performance rendering and processing efficiencies.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure describe methods and apparatuses that hide latency during an interaction between an attacking client device platform and a defending client device platform in a multiplayer game played over a network. The attacking client device platform predicts a successful attack will be made and delivers a hit event to the defending client device platform. In order to provide additional time to wait for a hit reply from the defending client device platform the attacking client device platform initiates an altered animation mode that lengthens the run-time of the animation. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

摘要: A method for delivering video over a network includes encoding, by a server, a sequence of video frames as a compressed video stream comprising an initial I-frame followed by a plurality P-frames, the sequence having a skipped frame which is not encoded. The compressed video stream is transmitted over a network to a client device, the skipped frame not being transmitted. In response to detecting the skipped frame, the client device generating a predicted frame that replaces the skipped frame in the compressed video stream, the predicted frame being generated based on extending delta information from one or more previous frames decoded by the client device.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for enabling users playing online games to create coaching videos of gameplay, and post such coaching videos to a cloud gaming system. In one example, coaching videos include a video clip of the gameplay and a video of the user, guiding and/or explaining how the game was played. A user playing the same game may desire coaching, and the cloud gaming system can identify previously posted coaching videos that correspond to the point in time or action in which the user requesting coaching is currently playing. The cloud system can access a database of coaching options, which are then presented to a user. The coaching options may be videos of gameplay and videos of the user providing coaching. The user can then view the coaching videos, rate them if desired, and then resume with his or her gameplay.

摘要: Systems, methods and computer readable media are provided for rendering virtual reality content. One example system includes a housing to be attached to a head of a user using a strap that connects to the housing. Display optics are integrated in the housing and are oriented on an internal side of the housing that is configured for orientation toward eyes of the user when the housing is attached to the head of the user. Further, electronics are integrated with the housing and a holder is integrated in the housing. The holder is configured to retain a smartphone. When the smartphone is retained by the holder a screen of the smartphone is oriented toward the display optics of the housing. A connector is integrated in the housing to enable connection of the smartphone to the electronics when the smartphone is retained by the holder. The smartphone includes a camera facing away from the display optics. The screen of the smartphone is configured to render images of a virtual reality (VR) space that is viewable through the display optics, and a program executed by the smartphone is configured to enable the camera to provide a pass-through view of a real world environment. The pass-through view provides images of the real world environment instead of the VR space.
