Abstract:
Apparatus, systems and methods for receiving one or more input signals and providing output signals in various video, audio, data and mixed formats are described. One or more input processors receive the input signals. Each of the input processors provides one or more packetized signals corresponding to one or more of the input signals received at the input processor. Each output processor can receive one or more packetized signals and generate one or more output signals. The output signals correspond to one or more of the input signals, additional locally generated signals or data relating to the signals or any combination of such signals. Use of a packet router according to the invention allows input signals encoded as one set of packetized signals to be recombined to provide additional packetized signals incorporating the same or different combinations of the packetized signals.
Abstract:
A video server includes a plurality of ports used for inputting and outputting material data items, a storage unit capable of storing group information about grouping of the plurality of ports, and a control unit that receives a command of designating a specific port of the plurality of ports for inputting and outputting one of a plurality of specific material data items and the other of the plurality of specific material data items as a first port, determines one or more other ports belonging to the same group of the first port as one or more second ports on the basis of the group information, and executes the command so as to synchronize the plurality of material data items each other using the first port and the one or more second ports.

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a content supply device, a content supply method, a program, a terminal device, and a content supply system that make it possible to receive streaming data from an origin server having the shortest communication distance. According to a first aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a content supply device that supplies a plurality of pieces of streaming data that include content of a same subject and differ in attribute, according to an adaptive streaming technique, the content supply device including: a metafile generating unit configured to generate a metafile that is for a reception side to select a supply source of the streaming data and that describes region identification information of the supply source; and a delivering unit configured to deliver the streaming data to the reception side as the supply source via a network, according to a request from the reception side based on the metafile. The present disclosure can be applied to a system in which content is delivered in a streaming manner.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a video distribution server includes an SSD, a counter, a determination unit, an output unit, and a first and second distribution controller. The first distribution controller, when target content data of a request belongs to a preferential data, reads the target content data from the SSD. The first distribution controller buffers the read target content data in a first storage area included in the output unit, and distributes the buffered target content data to a request source. The first distribution controller caches the read target content data in a second storage area included in the output unit. When the first distribution controller receives a request for the target content data after the caching of the target content data, the first distribution controller distributes the cached target content data to a request source.
Abstract:
A server center for hosting low-latency streaming interactive audio/video (NV) includes a plurality of servers that run one or more applications an inbound routing network that receives packet streams from users via a first network interface and routes the packets to one or more of the servers. The packet streams include user control input. One or more of the servers are operable to compute A/V data responsive to the user control input. A compression unit is coupled to receive the A/V data from the one or more of the servers and output compressed A/V data therefrom. An output routing network that routes the compressed A/V data to each of the users over a corresponding communication channel via a second interface, the compression unit is operable to modify a compression rate responsive to current characteristics of the corresponding communication channel for each user so as to optimize performance of the one or more applications.
Abstract:
An access platform or other network elements can include multiple line cards configured to encrypt data. The platform and/or each of the line cards may receive encryption management data that conforms to a predefined encryption management data interface. The encryption management data received by a particular line card may be generated by a conditional access system device and converted to conform to the encryption management data interface by an encryption manager. Line cards may alternatively be configured for connection to separate encryption hardware components. Line cards may include a block of field programmable gate arrays or other type of programmable hardware that can be configured to execute an encryption module.
Abstract:
A video server to transmit a plurality of video information, set to a the decode processing mode, the decode processing mode including a combination of allocation, a decoding method, and a buffering method, an allocation indicating which read port of a storage the designated content is output from, the decoding method being for a plurality of decoders, the buffering method being for a plurality of output buffers, the decoding method and the buffering method being based on each of the output modes, and to output a control signal with reference to an identification information depending on the set connection pattern and the set decode processing mode so that connection between an output interface port and an allocated read port is established, the control signal setting the destination of each of the selectors.
Abstract:
A video processing device providing multi-channel encoding with low latency is provided. The video processing device can be applied to a video server to perform video compression on game graphics for cloud gaming. With multi-channel encoding with low latency, the video server can provide compressed video streams to a variety of client devices with low latency. As a result, the users can obtain high gaming interactivity and fine entertainment in cloud gaming.
Abstract:
A method of and apparatus for efficiently providing video on demand services to a cable television subscriber. The provider system consists of two major subsystems. The first subsystem, called a video server, streams video to video on demand subscribers through the cable television network. The second subsystem, called the transaction server, performs virtually all remaining provider functions including, security, accounting, storage and spooling of video data, etc. The video server is preferably uses a Unisys CMP memory platform into which the transaction server spools requested video programs. One or more industry standard processors operating under a standard operating system stream the video data from the memory platform to the subscriber.
