Abstract: A lever-operated actuation device for a brake or clutch may have a pump body housing a hydraulic pump provided with a float and a hub rotatably associated with the pump body around a lever pin defining a rotation axis, the hub being associated with a tip operatively connected to the float for its actuation. The pump body may have a pair of fixing ears provided with fixing holes for the lever pin, the lever pin rotatably supporting an associable lever assembly. The lever assembly may have a manual actuation lever and a lever guide suitable to actuate the tip via the hub. The actuation device may have a retention device that keep the hub joined to the pump body, following the removal of the lever pin and the lever assembly for its disassembly/replacement.

Abstract: An electro-hydraulic actuator for actuating a brake caliper may have an electric motor with a drive shaft, a transforming mechanism and a first housing to accommodate the transforming mechanism and support a second housing of the electric motor. The transforming mechanism may include a reduction gear to demultiply the rotary motion of the drive shaft. The reduction gear may have a crown with inner toothing in one piece and that is rotationally locked. The crown may have a front portion directly shape-coupled to and inserted in the second housing of the electric motor and a connection integral with the first housing of the transforming mechanism for a precise centering between the electric motor and the reduction gear with respect to the axis of the drive shaft and with respect to a central axis of the reduction gear.

The plate-shaped portion has end portions protruding from opposite sides with respect to the first floating element bridge, a second inner plate-shape portion side facing the biasing device, two plate-shaped portion projections protruding from the plate-shaped portion side and having thrust surfaces biasing a second pad against the second braking surface and forming with the plate-shaped portion a ventilation channel.

Abstract: A method for controlling the braking action applicable by a brake caliper on a mechanical movement member of a vehicle is described. An electronic control unit operatively connected to an actuator assembly receives an input signal representative of a braking request. The unit determines a first reference value of a position of a component in the actuator assembly and a second reference value of a parameter representative of the braking action applicable by a brake caliper via the actuator assembly. The unit determines at least one feedback value of the position of a component in the actuator assembly. The unit also generates at least one control signal for the actuator assembly based on feedback values and the reference values.

The method includes determining temperatures of different braking components on different axles, as well as the state of a battery module and a traction and regenerative braking module. The method also includes determining a regenerative braking power dynamic distribution ratio between the first and second axles. A regenerative braking torque is provided to one of the modules.

Abstract: A system for monitoring a brake disc of a braking system of a vehicle may have at least one source of an electromagnetic quantity having a set space-time pattern such as to interact with the brake disc in a manner dependent on the properties of the brake disc generating a respective variable signal. At least one sensor for detecting such variable signal may also be provided. The at least one detection sensor may face a set limited portion of an investigation surface of the brake disc. The set limited portion of the investigation surface being at least one set closed path that can be defined on the investigation surface of the brake disc. The detected variable signal being able to be analysed to determine at least one parameter of the brake disc based on a deviation of the time pattern of the detected variable signal with respect to a set reference time pattern.
