A method for actuating a parking brake with a brake device having a brake caliper housing with a chamber configured to receive a fluid, a brake piston, a spindle and a spindle nut, includes determining a first hydraulic driver-applied pre-pressure in the chamber during a mechanical application process of the parking brake. The method further includes comparing the first driver-applied pre-pressure to a predetermined pressure threshold value via the control device; and building up a hydraulic support pressure in the chamber in order to unload the spindle when the first driver-applied pre-pressure is above the pressure threshold value.

    摘要: A combined vehicle brake having a hydraulically actuable driving brake and an electromechanically actuable parking brake device. In a brake housing, a hydraulic operating pressure space is bounded by a brake piston chargeable with hydraulic pressure medium to carry out normal braking. The brake piston is actuable along a longitudinal axis of the piston, and the parking brake device acts on the brake piston by a gearing converting the rotational movement of an electromechanical actuator into a translation movement and bringing about an actuation of the brake piston in order to carry out parking brake operations and keeping the brake piston in the actuated position. The gearing has a threaded spindle and a threaded nut which are in contact with each other via a plurality of rolling bodies. The frictional moment transmitted by the further axial bearing is higher than the returning torque of the threaded spindle.

A resilient device is located in the non-pressurized section and is movable along an axis to adopt a retracted parking brake-off position and a deployed parking brake-on position. The resilient device is biased into the deployed parking brake-on position. A latching device is arranged to selectively retain the resilient device in the retracted parking brake-off position. An actuator is arranged to selectively disengage the latching device to permit the parking brake mechanism to be applied. The mechanism is configured to introduce pressurized air into the pressurized section to return the resilient device to the retracted parking brake-off position.
