Abstract: An operating device is provided for a human-powered vehicle. The operating device includes a base, an operating member, a hydraulic unit and an intermediate member. The operating member is pivotally mounted to the base about a first pivot axis. The hydraulic unit is operated by the operating member to move a piston in a cylinder bore. The intermediate member is movably coupled to the operating member to move the piston from an initial position to an actuated position in response to operation of the operating member. The piston is closer to a distal end of the base where the piston is at an initial position than where the piston is at an actuated position. The cylinder bore is at least partly closer to the distal end than the first pivot axis. The intermediate member is at least partly closer to the distal end than the first pivot axis.

Abstract: A bicycle control assembly may be provided for operating an electromechanical gear shifting device. The control assembly includes a graspable housing mountable to the bicycle, a power supply connected to the control assembly disposed in the housing, a first operating member movably connected to the housing, and electronic componentry disposed on the first operating member. The electronic componentry may include an electrical switch, a controller in communication with the electrical switch and configured to generate a signal to change a shift position of the gear shifting device responsive to an input from the electrical switch, and an antenna in communication with the controller and configured to send the signal. The control assembly may also include a cable extending from the housing to the first operating member connecting the power supply and the electronic componentry.

Abstract: A bicycle control system includes a housing, a brake lever moveably connected to the housing between an at-rest position and a brake engaging position, and a shift lever moveably connected to the brake lever between an at-rest position and a shift actuating position. An electrical switch is disposed on one of the brake lever or the shift lever. An adjustable shift actuator is moveably coupled to the other of the brake lever or the shift lever. The shift actuator is configured to actuate the electrical switch when the shift lever is moved to the shift actuating position. The shift actuator is adjustably moveable relative to the other of the brake lever or the shift lever so as to adjust the distance between the at-rest position and the shift actuating position.

Abstract: A throttle assembly (26) for a vehicle (20) having a handlebar (22) with a grip (36) extending along a grip axis (GA). A housing (42) is adapted for attachment to the handlebar (22) adjacent to the grip (36) and defines a housing axis (UA) adapted to be substantially parallel to the grip axis (GA). A link (48) is slidably supported by the housing (42) between a first link end (48A) and a second link end (48B). A thumb trigger (44) is coupled to the first link end (48A) and moves with the link (48) between first and second trigger positions (44A, 44B). A track mechanism (50) operatively attached to the housing (42) and to the second link end (48B) of the link (48) guides the link (48) along a curvilinear path (54A) such that movement of the thumb trigger (44) to the second trigger position (44B) slides the thumb trigger (44) away from the housing (42) with the thumb trigger (44) traversing the housing axis (UA) during at least a portion of the movement between the first and second trigger positions (44A, 44B).
