摘要: A method for correcting thermal image distortion in a thermal camera in an apparatus for the layer-by-layer manufacture of three-dimensional objects, the thermal camera comprising a plurality of sensor pixels arranged along a first direction; the method comprising the steps of: (a) causing a temperature reference to be at a first steady state temperature; (b) moving the temperature reference at the first steady state temperature through a plurality of positions along the first direction through the field of view of the thermal camera; (c) recording a plurality of thermal images with the thermal camera while moving the temperature reference during step (b), each thermal image corresponding to one of the plurality of positions and comprising the detected temperature of the temperature reference as detected by at least one pixel of the plurality of sensor pixels; (d) identifying the at least one pixel that detected the temperature of the temperature reference within a respective thermal image at the corresponding one of the plurality of positions; (e) constructing a thermal map from the identified pixels representing the detected temperature of the temperature reference at the plurality of positions; (f) generating a correction matrix for the identified pixels based on comparison between the thermal map and the first steady state temperature; and (g) applying the correction matrix to subsequent measurements of the thermal camera. A controller and an apparatus for the layer-by-layer manufacture of three-dimensional objects comprising the controller to carry out the method are also provided.

摘要: Systems and methods are described for securely monitoring a shipping container for an environmental anomaly using elements of a wireless node network of sensor-based ID nodes disposed within the container and a command node associated with the container. The method has the command node identifying which of the ID nodes are confirmed as trusted sensors based upon a security credential specific to each of the ID nodes; monitoring only the confirmed ID nodes for sensor data broadcast those ID nodes; detecting the anomaly based upon the sensor data from at least one of the confirmed ID nodes; automatically generating an alert notification related to the detected environmental anomaly for the shipping container; and transmitting the alert notification to the external transceiver to initiate a mediation response related to the detected environmental anomaly.

摘要: An enhanced shipping container apparatus that maintains packages is described having integrated fire suppression. The apparatus has a container base supporting the packages, multiple container walls coupled to the container base, and a container top coupled to each of the container walls. A fire suppression panel is integrated as part of one or more of the walls and top portion, and has a support sheet of fire resistant material; an interior exposed sheet of temperature sensitive material; a sealed boundary connecting the support sheet and interior exposed sheet on peripheral edges (where the sealed boundary, support sheet and interior exposed sheet define a holding cavity), and integrated fire suppression material in the holding cavity. The temperature sensitive material of the interior exposed sheet releases the integrated fire suppressant material from within the holding cavity when the temperature sensitive material of the interior exposed sheet is exposed to a threshold temperature.

摘要: A system for measuring temperatures of a preheater of a rotary kiln can include: at least one infrared imaging sensor for each level of the preheater; and an imaging analysis computer operably coupled with the at least one infrared imaging sensor of each level of the preheater. The imaging analysis computer can be configured to: obtain a 3D model of a preheater level of the preheater; obtain at least one infrared image of a fixed field of view of the preheater level of the preheater; analyze all pixels in the fixed field of view of the at least one infrared image for each pixel temperature; generate a 2D temperature model of the preheater level; overlaying the 2D temperature model over the 3D model to generate a virtual 3D preheater level temperature model; and providing a visual representation of the virtual 3D preheater level temperature model.

摘要: A system for detecting an hotspots can include: at least one infrared imaging sensor; and an imaging analysis computer operably coupled with the at least one infrared imaging sensor. The imaging analysis computer can be configured to control any infrared imaging sensor and acquire infrared images therefrom at any rate and in any duration. The imaging analysis computer can be configured to analyze the infrared images in order to detect temperatures and identify hotspots. The temperature and hotspot information can be used to control a cooling system that can spray water on and around hotspots for temperature control.

摘要: A system for monitoring brick in a rotary kiln includes an infrared sensor and a computing system configured to: obtain a digital model of a brick layer of a rotary kiln having a plurality of bricks, wherein the digital model of the brick layer is based on a measured brick thickness correlated with a measured infrared temperature for each brick; obtain infrared data of the rotary kiln with the at least one infrared imaging sensor; determine the measured infrared temperature for each brick; determine a brick thickness of a first brick in the brick layer of the rotary kiln based on the measured infrared temperature assigned to the first brick with the digital model of the brick layer; and provide the brick thickness of the first brick in a brick thickness report.

摘要: A system for detecting and verifying an environmental anomaly within a shipping container (transported on a transit vehicle having an external transceiver) has wireless sensor-based ID nodes at different locations within the container and multiple command nodes mounted to the container. A first command node is programmatically configured to be operative to detect the sensor data broadcasted from the ID nodes; responsively identify the anomaly based upon the sensor data detected by that command node; and transmit a validation request to another command node. The other command node is configured to be operative to also detect the sensor data broadcasted from the ID nodes; receive the validation request from the first command node; verify the anomaly in response to the validation request and based upon the sensor data detected by the second command node; and broadcast a verification message based upon whether the anomaly for the shipping container is verified.
