    Abstract: A filter unit, or more specifically, a filter box for a chip conveyor for conveying cutting chips that are produced in the operation of a machine tool, such as a lathe or the like. More specifically, the exemplary filter unit has at least one internally located brush that is used for removing different types of chips contained in a coolant fluid and/or cutting oil used in machine tools during metal working through mechanical brushing and jolting the surface of the filtration element(s) of the filter unit. A chip conveyor and a method of filtering cutting fluid in a filtering chip conveyor is also disclosed.

    Abstract: Screening members, screening assemblies, methods for fabricating screening members and assemblies and methods for screening materials are provided for vibratory screening machines that incorporate the use of injection molded materials. Use of injection molded screen elements provide, inter alia, for: varying screening surface configurations; fast and relatively simple screen assembly fabrication; and a combination of outstanding screen assembly mechanical and electrical properties, including toughness, wear and chemical resistance. Embodiments of the present invention use a thermoplastic injection molded material.

The settling tank being pivotably mounted to the frame, the settling tank being pivotable between a first position and a second position. The settling tank defining at least a partially open top, the at least partially open top being configured and arranged to receive a fluid when the settling tank is in the first position. The settling tank also being configured to promote emptying of the fluid from the at least partially open top when the settling tank is pivoted into a given second position.

    Abstract: A filter unit connecting a gate connection part to an outer cylinder includes a plurality of longitudinal ribs formed at regular intervals orthogonally to an X axis and parallel to a Y axis when a virtual plane orthogonal to a central axis of the gate connection part is assumed to be an X-Y plane. A plurality of transverse ribs is formed at regular intervals orthogonally to the longitudinal ribs and parallel to the X axis, and a plurality of rectangular openings is formed between the longitudinal ribs and the transverse ribs. By injecting molten resin into a cavity from a gate opened toward a cavity portion forming the gate connection part, the gate connection part, the outer cylinder, and the filter unit are formed integrally, the rib widths of the longitudinal ribs and the transverse ribs are made constant, and the shapes of the plurality of openings are made identical.

    Abstract: There is provided a cartridge for an aerosol-generating system, the cartridge including: a liquid storage container containing a liquid aerosol-forming substrate including at least one flavor object; an outlet; a filter disposed between the outlet and a portion of the liquid storage container including the at least one flavor object; and a liquid transport element, having a first part and a second part, movable from a first position to a second position, wherein in the first position the first part of the liquid transport element is external to the cartridge and adjacent the outlet, and in the second position the first part of the liquid transport element is internal to the cartridge and remote from the outlet.
