摘要: For improving data transmission over the radio path between a mobile station and a base station in a mobile telecommunications system, a divider splits a data signal whose speed is higher than the maximum data transfer rate in one frame, into at least two signals of lower speed before transmission over the radio path. The mobile station is allocated at least two traffic channels for the high-speed data transmission so that each of the signals of lower speed is transmitted over the radio path in its respective traffic channel. A combiner combines the signals of lower speed received over the radio path, to reconstitute the original signal at the receiving end.

摘要: A process for manufacturing a flat adhesive tape comprises: providing a stiff interfacial sheet having a flat and solid form; surrounding the stiff interfacial sheet with a plurality of adhesive layers so as to form a roll of the adhesive layers with the stiff interfacial sheet positioned on a symmetric plane of the roll; and compressing the roll to form the flat adhesive tape. The stiff interfacial sheet can have a length slightly longer than a half-length of an innermost circumference of the roll of the adhesive layers. A layer of high adhesion material containing uncured high cross-linking epoxy or uncured high cross-linking cyanoacrylate can be provided between the stiff interfacial sheet and the adhesive layers. After compressing the roll of the adhesive layers, the high adhesion material is cured to form the flat adhesive tape.

摘要: Nucleic acids are made by adding a known nucleotide sequence to the 3' end of a first RNA having a known sequence at the 5' end to form a second RNA and reverse transcribing the second RNA to form a cDNA. In one embodiment, the first RNA is an amplified mRNA, the known sequence at the 5' end comprises a poly(T) sequence, the adding step comprises using a polyadenyltransferase to add a poly(A) sequence to the 3' end, the reverse transcribing step is initiated at a duplex region comprising the poly(T) sequence hybridized to the poly(A) sequence, the cDNA is converted to double-stranded cDNA by a polymerase initiating from a noncovalently joined duplex region, and the double-stranded cDNA is transcribed to form one or more third RNAs.

摘要: A delay circuit provides a quadrature-delayed strobe, a tightly controlled quadrature DLL and write/read leveling delay lines by using the same physical delay line pair. By multiplexing different usage models, the need for multiple delay lines is significantly reduced to only two delay lines per byte. As a result, the delay circuit provides substantial saving in terms of layout area and power.

摘要: A separations tray assembly for use in a fluid-fluid exchange column. The separations tray assembly is of the type where a first fluid, in a continuous phase, is directed across successive trays in a serpentine flow path. A second fluid, in a dispersed phase ascends through apertures in the tray thus inducing interaction and mass transfer with the first fluid. In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, the separations tray further includes a diffuser skirt, having apertures disposed therein, operatively coupled to a fluid channel. The diffuser skirt is operable to direct the first fluid to cover substantially an entire volumetric cross-flow window between successive separations trays and to induce stirring and mixing of the first fluid and the second fluid to effect efficient mass transfer.

摘要: The present invention provides a composition for selectively delivering an active agent to a portion of an organism. The composition comprises first and second polymer portions, having first and second functional groups attached as a side-chain thereto, respectively. The first and second functional groups form cross-links between the first and second polymer portions. The cross-links are capable of being broken by a substance of the organism, thereby resulting in release of the active agent. The composition provides a novel means for controlling the selective release of the active agent in the organism.

摘要: A level-up shifter circuit is suitable for high speed and low power applications. The circuit dissipates almost no static power, or leakage current, compared to conventional designs and can preserve the signal's duty cycle even at high data rates. This circuit can be used with a wide range of power supplies while maintaining operational integrity.
