摘要: A medical device is disclosed which includes a delivery member having at least two lumens extending within. Each lumen may include a rotational element within. Each rotational element may be configured to convert linear motion into rotational motion. The medical device may also include a snare element including a distal snare loop and two proximally extending legs. Each leg of the snare element may be within one of the two lumens. Further, the rotational element in a first lumen may be configured to impart a clock-wise rotation to a first leg of the two proximally extending legs, while the rotational element in a second lumen of the at least two lumens may be configured to impart a counter clock-wise rotation to a second leg of the two proximally extending legs.

摘要: An endoscopic forceps includes an elongate shaft defining an instrument axis. An end effector includes first and second jaw members each supporting an opposed sealing surface for clamping tissue. At least one of the jaw members is movable relative to the instrument axis such that the jaw members are movable between a first spaced-apart configuration and a second closed configuration for grasping tissue. A cutting instrument includes a reciprocating blade translatable relative to the sealing surfaces to sever tissue clamped between the jaw members. The reciprocating blade contacts an undersurface of at least one of the jaw members when the jaw members are in the second configuration to define a gap distance between the sealing surfaces. A handle adjacent the proximal end of the elongate shaft is operable to induce motion in the jaw members, and an actuator is operable to selectively translate the reciprocating blade.

摘要: There is provided an endoscopic snare including: a flexible sheath 1; a cable 2 configured to slide in the sheath; a snare loop 3 connected to the cable 2, and projecting from or retracting into the sheath 1; a distal end tip 4 disposed in a distal end part of the sheath and retaining the snare loop 3; and a hand operating part for operating the snare loop 3 via the cable 2. One end of the snare loop 3 is attached to the distal end tip and the other end of the snare loop 3 is attached to a distal end of the cable. The snare loop 3 is expanded into a ring shape without a protruding portion when it is projected from the sheath 1, and is formed into an asymmetric shape where expansion is deviated to either side about an axis of the sheath.

摘要: A dissector including a body, a first arm, a second arm, and a string and methods for use thereof. The first arm extending from the body towards a distal end thereof and the second arm extending from the body towards a distal end thereof. One end of the string is coupled to the first arm adjacent the distal end thereof and the other end of the string is coupled to the second arm adjacent the distal end thereof. The first and second arms have an expanded configuration such that the string is taut and have a collapsed configuration such that the string is slack. The string is configured to dissect tissue when the first and second arms are in the expanded configuration. The string may oscillate to dissect tissue. The distal ends of the first and second arms may atraumatically dissect tissue.

摘要: An implant delivery system can be configured to deliver an inflatable implant into a bladder via a urethra. The delivery system can comprise an elongate tubular body, an inflation tube and an implant decoupler. The tubular body can comprise a central lumen configured to hold an inflatable implant in an initial un-inflated state for delivery of the implant into the bladder. A method of use can include passing a distal tip of the elongate tubular body into the bladder. The implant can be inflated and released into the bladder.

摘要: Disclosed is a snare instrument with a shaft area, a snare structure in a snaring area distally adjoining the shaft area, and a plurality of noose wires. The snare structure can be pulled closed, from an opened position with distally open snare, and has a plurality of flexible bending tubes which extend distally forwards and radially outwards in a radiating shape to form the snare, and of which the distal ends can be moved radially inwards towards each other so as to pull the snare structure closed. Each noose wire extends with a first base portion from the shaft area loosely through one of the bending tubes as far as the distal end thereof, from there with a noose arch to the distal end of the same or another bending tube, and from there with a second base portion loosely through the latter back to the shaft area. At least one of the noose wire base portions extends through each bending tube.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided to facilitate the minimally invasive removal of tissue biopsies and to facilitate the direct approach to anesthetizing the chest wall, in accordance with embodiments of the present invention. A pull-type cutting device 1 comprises two coaxially nested tubes, each extending from a proximal end 21 to a distal end 22. The first tube 61 defines a guide wire lumen 23 for slidingly receiving a guide wire. The second tube 63 extends over the first tube 60 and coupled thereto at the distal end 22 defining an expandable portion 13 adjacent the distal end 22. The second tube 63 defines an inflation lumen 25 extending from the shaft proximal end 21 to the expandable portion 13. The inflation lumen 25 communicates inflation fluid from the proximal end 21 to the expandable portion 13 so as to inflate and deploy the expandable portion 13. Disposed adjacent the shaft distal end 22 is a cutting head 10 comprising the expandable portion 13 having a cutting portion 11 distal from the shaft distal end 22.
