摘要: Devices, systems, and methods for resecting tissue are disclosed. In some embodiments, a tissue resecting device may comprise an elongated structure having a longitudinal axis, the elongated structure comprising an outer sleeve with a distal window configured to receive uterine polyp tissue and an inner sleeve configured to move between a proximal position and a distal position relative to the window. In some further embodiments, the device may also comprise an electrode element coupled to the inner sleeve. In some even further embodiments, the device may include an insulative layer covering at least a portion of the inner sleeve, wherein the tissue resecting device is configured to fail when used to resect tissue more fibrous than uterine polyp tissue.

摘要: A rongeur cutting system and method of operating said system. The rongeur cutting system may comprise a cutting unit that includes an outer tube and a cutting implement capable of both oscillation and longitudinal movement within the outer tube. The rongeur cutting system may also comprise a handpiece including a power source and spindle for actuating the cutting implement. The method of operating the rongeur cutting system may comprise operating the rongeur cutting system in a manual mode and/or operating the rongeur cutting system in a power mode. The manual mode includes moving the cutting implement longitudinally within the outer tube to manually cut tissue without utilizing the power source, and the power mode includes actuating a motor to manipulate the cutting implement within the outer tube while moving the cutting implement longitudinally within the cutting tube.

摘要: A tissue resecting system includes an assembly having first and second tubular members. An electrical motor drive and controller moves the second member to resect tissue received in a window of the first member. A tachometer sends motor drive rotational signals to the controller, and the controller modulates a motor voltage in response to the signals from the tachometer both to drive the second member at a predetermined speed and to calculate resistance to driving the second member at the predetermined speed.

摘要: An occlusion clearing device for a patient has a housing with a motor(s) that generates repetitive motion, which is reciprocating, rotational or both. A clearing stem including a sheath that has a lumen, wherein aspiration is conducted through the sheath lumen. A wire is located in the sheath lumen and receives repetitive motion from the controller. The sheath terminates in a sheath end having at least one sheath opening. The wire terminates in a wire tip, which may be flat, helical, or tubular. The wire tip is positioned within the sheath end, in proximity to the sheath opening(s), and movement of the wire tip and/or sheath end relative to each other creates shearing forces that break up an adjacent occlusion.

摘要: Systems and methods are configured to treat a tissue by automatically linearly oscillating an instrument into a target site. A system may include a body having a length and configured to receive a portion of the instrument guide member having an exposed end and/or an instrument. The system may further include an actuator member disposed within the body and configured to linearly oscillate the instrument within the instrument guide member a fixed distance past the exposed end. The systems and methods can increase patient comfort while empowering clinicians by simplifying interventions for musculoskeletal disorders.

摘要: Medical methods and devices for treating aortic dissections. A catheter-based cutting device permits cutting a septum of acute or chronic aortic dissections, in a retrograde manner. The catheter includes a base section having a central lumen therethrough and two flexible arms extending from a distal end thereof. The flexible arms can each have a guide wire channel therethrough. With distal ends of the two flexible arms separated, the two arms form a Y-shape with the base section. In one embodiment, with distal ends of the two flexible arms together, the two arms have a longitudinal profile, about a periphery thereof, identical to a longitudinal profile of the base section. A cutting component resides between the two arms. The cutting component can face distally outward between the two arms with the distal ends of the two flexible arms separated.
