摘要: A method is disclosed for analyzing historical accident information to adjust driving actions of an autonomous vehicle over a travel route in order to avoid accidents which have occurred over the travel route. Historical accident information for the travel route can be analyzed to, for example, determine accident types which occurred over the travel route and determine causes and/or probable causes of the accident types. In response to determining accident types and causes/probable causes of the accident types over the travel route, adjustments can be made to the driving actions planned for the autonomous vehicle over the travel route. In addition, in an embodiment, historical accident information can be used to analyze available travel routes and select a route which presents less risk of accident than others.

摘要: A vehicle comprises electric motor, generator of simulated engine sounds, decider of whether or not to generate simulated engine sounds and controller of the level of simulated engine sounds. The controller smoothly increases level of simulated engine sounds upon decision of sound generation on detection of pedestrian, crosswalk, narrow road, or road with no sidewalk. The decider is responsive to vehicle navigation system, or ETC, or camera of EDR. EDR records the decision as circumstantial evidence. The decision may be optionally possible, but is forcibly made upon necessity. Simulated engine sounds can be greater than, or equal to, or less than real engine sounds. The controller makes a soft peak of simulated engine sound upon brake or accelerator operated. Balance of simulated engine sounds among front, rear, right and left of vehicle is changeable in response to shift lever or blinker lever operation. The decision is visually indicated inside vehicle.

摘要: A cruise control system controls fuel supplied to an engine of a motor vehicle based in part on whether the vehicle is travelling on a positive gradient, a negative gradient, or a level surface. The system includes a sensor for detecting a position of an accelerator pedal of the vehicle, an inclinometer for detecting a gradient of a surface over which the vehicle is traveling; and an electronic processor operative to set a fuel flow rate. The fuel flow rate is set as a function of the accelerator pedal position detected at an activation time of the cruise control system, and that fuel flow rate is maintained at a constant rate if the vehicle is travelling on a positive gradient or a level surface. The vehicle therefore slows down on the positive gradient rather than maintaining a target speed as with a conventional cruise control system.

摘要: The driving assist apparatus includes a controller configured to control a decelerator included in a host vehicle to perform driving assist. The controller acquires information on the shape of a road ahead of the host vehicle in the traveling direction. When it is determined based on the acquired shape of the road that there is a curve ahead of the host vehicle in the traveling direction and driving assist is executed through control of the deceleration of the host vehicle by the decelerator, the controller controls the maximum value of deceleration of the host vehicle so as to coincide with the target deceleration value.
