    摘要: A cloth employing graphite fibers may be subjected to different composite material formation processes so that three separate sections of heat capability may result across continuous fibers. Thus, one section may have optimum cold temperature strength while a removed section may have optimum high-temperature strength, with a transition section interceding. The existence of continuous fibers across these sections obviates the necessity for a mechanical joint thereby maximizing the reliability and performance characteristics of a resulting composite structure.

    摘要: A biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin bottle-shaped container, and method of blow-molding the same, is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of heating the body portion of a preform at 90.degree. C. to 130.degree. C., biaxial-orientation blow-molding the preform in a primary blowing mold heated at 110.degree. C. to 230.degree. C. to form a primary intermediate molded bottle-shaped piece, heating the primary intermediate molded bottle-shaped piece at 130.degree. C. to 255.degree. C. or at a temperature which is at least 20.degree. C. greater than the primary blowing mold temperature to form a secondary intermediate molded bottle-shaped piece, and blow-molding the secondary intermediate molded bottle-shaped piece in a secondary blowing mold heated at 100.degree. C. to 150.degree. C. to form a bottle-shaped container. The temperature of the secondary blowing mold is several degrees greater than the maximum temperature the molded bottle-shaped container will be subjected to during use. The bottle-shaped container of the present invention has no stress remaining from biaxial orientation blow-molding and has a high heat resistance temperature value.

    摘要: In a method of molding a heat resistant container whose bottom has an inwardly raised part, firstly a preform is primary blow molded to form a primary blow molded article which is greater at least in length than the container to be obtained as a final product. Then the primary blow molded article is heat shrunk. This heat shrinking is restricted in such a manner that the length of the heat shrunk primary blow molded article from its top to its bottom center is greater than the length of the final product from its top to a peak of the raised part. Then at least the central region of the bottom of the heat shrunk primary blow molded article is inwardly pushed within a secondary blow cavity mold having a bottom mold by vertically moving the bottom mold. Finally in the secondary blow cavity mold, the resulting product is secondary blow molded so that the heel of a heat resistant container, as the final product, has a desired thickness.

    摘要: A retortable container has a wall of at least two co-formed laminas. This wall is highly impermeable to fluids selected from the group consisting of oxygen and aromatic vapors. The wall includes a first load-carrying lamina of a first plastic material. This load-carrying lamina has been formed without mechanical hysteresis in the melt phase by a thermal pressure forming apparatus to cause strengthening with orientation of the load-carrying lamina in at least one axis but without memory of its pre-melt phase shape. The wall also includes a second sealing lamina of a second plastic material. This second sealing lamina is coextensive with the first load-carrying lamina. Consequently, the container formed by the apparatus is retortable, i.e. it can withstand temperatures and pressures of a retort chamber without undergoing significant and permanent distortion.

    摘要: An apparatus for preparing a drawn heat-set plastic hollow vessel, which comprises a rotary member having a plurality of openable-closable blow-forming and heat-setting molds and preform-supporting mechanisms corresponding to said molds, a preform supply mechanism for supplying a preform maintained at a drawing temperature into the mold of the rotary member at the opening position and a vessel withdrawal mechanism for withdrawing a drawn and heat-set vessel from the mold of the rotary member at the opening position, wherein the rotary member comprises a mold-heating mechanism for maintaining the molds at a heat-setting temperature through the entire rotation course of the rotary member, an opening and closing mechanism for closing the molds after passage through the position of the preform supply mechanism and opening the molds before arrival at the position of the vessel withdrawal mechanism, a sealing member capable of reciprocating relatively to the preform supported by the preform support mechanism while having a sealing engagement with the mouth portion of the preform, a hollow drawing rod arranged concentrically with the sealing member to reciprocate so that the drawing rod is inserted into the preform and drawn out therefrom.
