摘要: Provided is a method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced plastic composite containing a fiber-reinforced plastic part having a plate-like portion and a rib protruding from one surface of the plate-like portion, and a metal part, having an average thickness of 0.5-3.0 mm, laminated on part of or all of the plate-like portion of the fiber-reinforced plastic part, comprising:
a lamination step for stacking a plurality of incised prepreg layers as a plurality of sheets of base material to form a base laminate, each prepreg layer containing unidirectionally oriented fibers and resin, and a plurality of incisions crossing the fibers,
a base material heating step for heating the base laminate, and
a molding step for integrating the base laminate and the metal part by pressing them between a rib molding member having a recessed portion for forming a rib and a skin molding member free of such a recessed portion in a pressing device.-

摘要: Provided are a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced resin molding material by which, when the fiber-reinforced resin molding material is manufactured, separated fiber bundles can be supplied to a cutting machine in stable condition while avoiding the influence of meandering of the fiber bundles or slanting or meandering of filaments occurring in the fiber bundles. A method for manufacturing a sheet-shaped fiber-reinforced resin molding material in which spaces between filaments of cut-out fiber bundles (CF) are impregnated with resin includes, so that a condition of the following expression (1) is satisfied, intermittently separating fibers of the continuous fiber bundles (CF) in a longitudinal direction by a rotational blade (18) serving as a fiber separating part and cutting out the fiber bundles with an interval therebetween in a longitudinal direction of a cutting machine (13A) to obtain the cut-out fiber bundles (CF). Expression (1): 1≤a/L (where a represents a length of a separated part of the continuous fiber bundles (CF) and L represents an interval when the fiber bundles (CF) are cut out in the longitudinal direction.)

摘要: An object of the present invention is to reduce or eliminate a defect (e.g., a void) by achieving (i) a semipreg and a prepreg each of which allows a reduction in residual volatile component and (ii) methods for producing the semipreg and the prepreg, respectively, and consequently to achieve (iii) a fiber-reinforced composite material which has high heat resistance and superior mechanical strength and a (iv) a method for producing the fiber-reinforced composite material. The present invention attains the above object by providing, for example, a semipreg containing: powders of an imide oligomer; and reinforcement fibers, the imide oligomer being represented by a specific general formula (1).

摘要: A process of preparing carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) intermediate products is described wherein the carbon fibers are prepared from a carbon fiber precursor and then in-line impregnated with a polymeric resin as part of a continuous process. The process can provide cost savings compared to processes wherein carbon fibers are prepared and then impregnated with polymeric resins in a separate process, thereby making the use of CFRP materials more economically feasible. Also described is a system for preparing carbon fiber from a carbon fiber precursor and impregnating the carbon fiber with polymeric resin to provide CFRP intermediate products, such as continuous tapes or rods or discontinuous flakes or pellets.

摘要: A repair patch includes a composite material to repair a a repair target of a composite material. The repair patch includes bonding surfaces which face a bonded surface of a counterbored hole formed in the part to be repaired, and are bonded to the counterbored hole; and an opposite surface opposite to the bonding surfaces in a thickness direction. The opposite surface has a curved plane with a first surface side curvature radius protruding toward the opposite surface in a cross section cut along a plane intersecting an axial direction in the opposite surface. The bonded surface has a curved plane with a second surface side curvature radius protruding toward the bonding surfaces facing the bonded surface in a cross section cut along a plane intersecting an axial direction in the bonded surface. The first surface side curvature radius is smaller than the second surface side curvature radius.

摘要: Improved composite fibers, and structural materials mixed with the improved composite fibers, are produced by an improved process that vertically texturizes and impregnates resin into the fibers without introducing any substantial amount of microbubbles in the resin. By using vertical impregnation and twisting of fiber strands with specific viscosity control, stronger composite fibers, in which substantially no microbubbles are trapped, are produced with improved tensile strength and lower variance in tensile strength, for use in strengthening structural concrete and other structural materials.

摘要: Provided is a sheet molding compound which can inhibit the formation of burrs during press molding, enables a matrix resin to exhibit excellent fluidity and excellent quick curing properties during press molding, and makes it possible to obtain a fiber-reinforced composite excellent in mold release properties, mechanical characteristics, and heat resistance. The sheet molding compound of the present invention contains an epoxy resin composition and reinforcing fiber, in which a gel time of the epoxy resin composition is 30 to 140 seconds at 140° C., a temperature at the start of curing reaction of the epoxy resin composition is 70° C. to 115° C., and when b1 represents a viscosity of the epoxy resin composition measured at 30° C. 7 days after the preparation of the composition, and b2 represents a viscosity of the epoxy resin composition measured at 30° C. 14 days after the preparation of the composition, b1 and b2 satisfy b2/b1≤5.

摘要: Additive manufacturing fiber tows comprise a bundle of elongate fibers. Bindments, which may include particles, elongated bindment segments, coating segments, and/or encircling bindments are interposed among the plural elongate fibers to provide interstitial regions among the plural elongate fibers and the bindments. Methods of additively manufacturing an article with a configuration comprise dispensing the additive manufacturing fiber tow with bindments in multiple successive courses in the configuration to additively manufacture the article. The methods may include fixing the bindments together to hold the article in the configuration with the interstitial regions among the plural elongate fibers and the bindments. A solidifiable matrix material may be applied to the article, including to the interstitial regions, and the solidifiable matrix material may be solidified to form a finished article.

摘要: Methods of forming multi-component reinforced composites are described. The methods may include forming a particle-reinforced component and a polymer-containing component where the particle-reinforced component and the polymer-containing component are in contact with one another. The particle reinforced component may be formed by a process that includes providing reactive particles that have a reactive polymerization promoter chemically bonded or coated on the surface of the reactive particles and contacting the reactive particles with a resin solution that includes monomers of a polymer. The polymerization promoter chemically bonded or coated on the surface of the reactive particles may promote the polymerization of the monomers. The resin solution may subsequently be polymerized forming a polymer matrix around the reactive particles.
