Abstract: The present disclosure provides a novel and practical alcohol and derivatives thereof which have more industrial value than existing petrochemical raw materials. The present disclosure further provides ethanol, characterized in that a peak in gas chromatography measured by gas chromatograph mass spectrometry (GC/MS) has at least one peak with a retention time selected from (A) a peak of 5 minutes 25 seconds to 5 minutes 35 seconds and two peaks of 2 minutes 55 seconds to 3 minutes 5 seconds; (B) a peak of 12 minutes 30 seconds to 12 minutes 40 seconds; (C) a peak of 6 minutes 36 seconds to 6 minutes 45 seconds; and (D) a peak of 15 minutes 00 seconds to 15 minutes 15 seconds.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and a system for preparing fuel using high-acid-value biological grease, which can be processed through triple deoxidization steps, i.e., thermal cracking deoxygenation-catalytic cracking deoxygenation-catalytic hydrodeoxygenation. By use of the method and system of the invention, the raw material of the high-acid-value biological grease can be gradually deoxidized to reduce the acid value and thereby prepare a clean fuel with equivalent fuel components as those obtained from crude oil refining or direct hydrodeoxygenation for biological grease.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of producing industrial products from plant lipids, particularly from vegetative parts of plants. In particular, the present invention provides oil products such as biodiesel and synthetic diesel and processes for producing these, as well as plants having an increased level of one or more non-polar lipids such as triacylglycerols and an increased total non-polar lipid content. In one particular embodiment, the present invention relates to combinations of modifications in two or more of lipid handling enzymes, oil body proteins, decreased lipid catabolic enzymes and/or transcription factors regulating lipid biosynthesis to increase the level of one or more non-polar lipids and/or the total non-polar lipid content and/or mono-unsaturated fatty acid content in plants or any part thereof. In an embodiment, the present invention relates to a process for extracting lipids. In another embodiment, the lipid is converted to one or more hydrocarbon products in harvested plant vegetative parts to produce alkyl esters of the fatty acids which are suitable for use as a renewable biodiesel fuel.
