Deposition of material is performed on a substrate by causing short-distance reciprocating motions of the substrate that improve uniformity of material on the substrate. A series of reactors for injecting material onto the substrate is arranged along the length of the substrate in a repeating manner. During each reciprocating motion, the susceptor moves a distance shorter than an entire length of the substrate. Portions of the substrate are injected with materials by a subset of reactors. Since the movement of the substrate is smaller, a linear deposition device including the susceptor may be made smaller.

The present invention demonstrates for the first time that FAT1 plays an important role in modulating PDCD4 expression, which in turn regulates AP-1 dependent transcription, controls processes crucial for migration and invasion in cancer cells, controls induction of a pro-inflammatory micro environment in cancer cells. The study illustrates a link between inflammation and cancer in cells or in a subject. This work highlights the importance of FAT1 in the induction of the cellular pathways of migration and invasion, proteolysis of the ECM and the expression of pro-inflammatory molecules leading to a favorable micro environment for tumor and cancer progression. The present invention also provides the use of FAT1 in regulating neoplastic phenotypes and genotypes including invasiveness and inflammatory micro environment of the cancer cells by acting as a novel apical regulator of a signaling pathway by affecting the AP1 transcriptional activity, affecting the property of both cell migration and invasion and at the same time affecting the expression of inflammatory modulators. The present invention also identifies a novel regulatory pathway for inflammatory mediators and inflammatory cellular responses via PDCD4 and AP1. The invention describes a pathway for the upregulation of inflammatory processes as such, and hence a means of regulating inflammatory pathologies in general.

In the method the material is acted upon in the feeder channel, or in the channel leading into it, with at least one guide member, which is configured to reduce the undesirable rotation of the material in the feeder channel and/or to improve the access of replacement air into the rotary shaper. The invention also relates to an apparatus.

Cable lacing tie devices and methods of using the same are disclosed. The cable lacing tie devices include a head assembly and a cable lacing tape. The head assembly being configured to retain a first portion of the cable lacing tape within the head assembly and having a length of the cable lacing tape extending from the head assembly. The head assembly further adapted to retain a second portion of the cable lacing tape extending from the head assembly. The methods of using the cable lacing tie devices to hold together a plurality of objects with a cable lacing tie device include retaining a first portion of a cable lacing tape in a head assembly, looping the cable lacing tape around the plurality of objects and retaining a second portion of the cable lacing tape within the head assembly.

A filling mechanism for use with a nozzle. The nozzle includes a nozzle body and an end cap, which are axially aligned with one another. The end cap includes a fluid opening and the nozzle body includes a closing member. In a first position, the closing member seals the opening. In a second position, the opening is spaced from the closing member so as to allow the flow of fluid through the opening. The filling mechanism includes opening/closing means, adapted to effect axial movement of the nozzle body and the end cap relative to one another between the first and second positions, and a filling tube. The filling mechanism is arranged such that the filling tube and the fluid opening in the end cap of the nozzle are brought into fluid communication with one another by relative axial movement of the nozzle body and end cap.

There is a closure 1, which is, in this case, shown as closing a mouth 2 of a bottle 3, wherein the bottle is made of glass and has an external outwardly extending integral collar 4 which extends fully around an outside of the neck of the bottle and is of a constant shape and size at any location around the periphery. The seal 5 is held under compression against an uppermost rim 6 of the bottle mouth 2 and surface 7, which is adapted to engage with compression force the seal 5. Upon extraction of portion 8 from within the mouth of the bottle, a “popping” sound is achieved by having the position of the seal somewhat below the mouth prior to extraction so that there will be upon extraction an evacuation of the headspace within the bottle.
