摘要: Methods and apparatus for depositing polymer films are provided herein. In some embodiments a method for depositing a dielectric film may include flowing a liquid polymer precursor material through an orifice spaced apart from a substrate upon which the liquid polymer precursor material is to be deposited; providing a potential difference between the orifice and the substrate to attract the liquid polymer towards the substrate and form a deposited material on the substrate; and curing the deposited material to form a dielectric film on the substrate.

摘要: A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition capable of giving a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which simultaneously realizes satisfactory holding power, adhesion, and peel resistance in peeling from curved surfaces, while balancing these properties, and has satisfactory heat resistance. The composition comprises the following ingredients: (A) a maleimide crosslinking agent having two or more maleimide groups per molecule; (B) a monomer which, when caused to homopolymerize, gives a homopolymer having a glass transition temperature of −40° C. or lower; (C) a carboxylated monomer copolymerizable with the monomer of the ingredient (B); and (D) a photopolymerization initiator, the maleimide crosslinking agent of the ingredient (A) being contained in an amount of 0.01-2 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the monomers of the ingredients (B) and (C).

摘要: Spark plug devices are formed of a conductive loaded resin-based material. The conductive loaded resin-based material comprises micron conductive powder(s), conductive fiber(s), or a combination of conductive powder and conductive fibers in a base resin host. The percentage by weight of the conductive powder(s), conductive fiber(s), or a combination thereof is between about 20% and 50% of the weight of the conductive loaded resin-based material. The micron conductive powders are metals or conductive non-metals or metal plated non-metals. The micron conductive fibers may be metal fiber or metal plated fiber. Further, the metal plated fiber may be formed by plating metal onto a metal fiber or by plating metal onto a non-metal fiber. Any platable fiber may be used as the core for a non-metal fiber. Superconductor metals may also be used as micron conductive fibers and/or as metal plating onto fibers in the present invention.

摘要: Prefabricated, lightweight, modular, concrete structures, such as columns and a variety of end caps, have a strong, chip resistant surface exhibiting ornamental designs that include projections and impressions. The high strength of the surface layer is due to reinforcement of the concrete with alkali resistant short length (0.125-0.25 inch) glass fibers that allow replication of fine surface details in the column surface. The surface layer is supported by a second glass fiber reinforced concrete layer that incorporates long length (0.5-1.5 inch) alkali resistant glass fibers. In combination, the first and second layers are about 0.25 to 0.5 inches thick, and the lightweight column is readily handled by forklift trucks or economically transported on flat bed trucks without surface chipping or breakage. The modular concrete structures include concrete columns, end caps and arches, as well as other geometrically decorative assemblies. They fit into each other and are conveniently and efficiently assembled in the field to form column-like structures that embody a wide variety of geometrical shapes.

The materials comprise one or more nanomaterials dispersed within one or more matrix materials. The nanomaterials can be in a variety of forms, such as for example, carbon nanotubes and/or nanofibers. The matrix material can be glass, fused silicas, or metal. Also disclosed are various processes and operations to readily disperse and uniformly align the nanotubes and/or nanofibers in the flowing matrix material, during production of the composite materials.
