摘要: An applicator for a wound closure device includes a proximal handle and a barrel extending from the handle. The barrel includes an elongate shaft, a slidable elongate actuator, and an elongate, slidable ejector rod. A jaw is pivotably attached to a distal end of the elongate actuator. The jaw has a first pair of prongs and the shaft distally terminates in a second pair of prongs. The first and second pairs of prongs are configured to releasably receive the wound closure device. A single trigger is attached to the handle and is actuatable to a first position configured to enable loading of the wound closure device to the first and second pairs of prongs, a second position configured to open the loaded wound closure device, a third position configured to close the loaded wound closure device, and a fourth position configured to release the wound closure device from the applicator.

摘要: A hand held tissue lifting device comprises a flexible anchor including an upper surface and a lower surface, with a layer of adhesive on the lower surface for attachment to skin of a patient. A handle that is sized and configured to be hand held by a user is rotatably attached to the upper surface of the anchor. A cutout may be formed into the periphery of the anchor to keep the navel area open upon attachment of device to the patient. A non-adhesive dead zone may be formed on a periphery of the anchor that will not attach to the patient's skin and that will assist the surgeon in the removal of the device upon completion of the procedure. The materials and dimensions of the anchor are selected to allow the device to releasably conform to the contours of the patient's skin.

摘要: An assembly for use in knee surgery includes a patella sensor component having a backing plate which can be fitted to the patella and which has at least one sensor which can generate a signal corresponding to the compressive load applied to the backing plate, and at least first and second shims which provide a patella bearing surface for articulation against a surface on the patient's femur, and which can be positioned individually or in one or more combinations between the backing plate and the patient's patella to define first and second positions of the bearing surface relative to the patella. The assembly includes a clamp for a patella having opposing jaws which can be moved towards one another to clamp the patella between them, the clamp providing a reference surface for engaging the posterior surface of the patella and a support surface for supporting the cutting head of a cutting instrument, thereby locating the cutting instrument relative to the clamp. First and second locator inserts can be mounted individually or in one or more combinations on or relative to the clamp, providing a physical connection between the reference and support surfaces which define first and second positions of the support surface relative to the reference surface, and thereby define first and second positions for the resection plane relative to posterior surface of the patella. The increment between the first and second positions of the bearing surface on the bearing plate relative to the patella matches the increment between the first and second positions of the support surface relative to the reference surface.

摘要: A tissue clipping apparatus, comprises a flexible, elongate member, a proximal end of which remains external to the body accessible to a user while a distal end of the flexible member is inserted into the body to a location adjacent to target tissue to be clipped and a control wire extending through the flexible member in combination with a capsule releasably coupled to a distal end of the flexible member and a clip a proximal portion of which is received within the capsule. A joint releasably coupling the clip to the control wire, includes a yoke extending around a proximal end of the clip and a frangible link which fails when subject to a predetermined force to separate the clip from the control wire.

The clip approximation means and the first and second tissue approximation clips are sized to travel through the instrument channel, and the first and second tissue approximation clips are adapted to be detachably coupled to the applicator.

摘要: A device for treating a tissue opening includes a proximal portion including an elongated flexible member, a capsule releasably coupled to a distal end of the flexible member and including a lumen extending therethrough and a clip including a pair of arms movably housed within the capsule. A suture extending along a first one of the pair of arms and including a loop at a distal end thereof extending across an opening extending through the first one of the pair of arms. A suture grabbing element extending laterally from a second one of the pair of arms and including a hook so that, when the pair of arms are moved toward a closed configuration, the hook extends through the opening to grab the loop and draw the distal end of the suture from the first one of the pair of arms toward the second one of the pair of arms.
