    摘要： A tissue closure device includes a needle and a suture extending therefrom, a proximal head including a proximal slot and a proximal locking mechanism for releasably engaging a first end of the needle in the proximal slot in a first configuration, and a distal head movably coupled to the proximal head so that the proximal and distal heads are movable relative to one another between an open configuration, in which a target tissue is received therebetween, and a closed configuration, in which the target tissue gripped therebetween. The distal head includes a distal slot and a distal locking mechanism for releasably engaging a second end of the needle in the distal slot in a second configuration, the needle movable between the first and second configurations by rotating the needle, the needle alternatingly passed between the proximal and distal heads to thread the suture through the target tissue.

The medical device also includes an operating member extending proximally of the snare member. The operating is enabled to extend and retract the snare member from a sheath. The snare member includes a transition portion extending between the proximal portion and the distal portion. The transition portion connects the proximal portion to the distal portion. The distal portion has a different cross-sectional area than the proximal section of the snare member.

The device includes an elongate shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, and a first lumen between the proximal end and the distal end, which has an opening in communication with the first lumen. The elongate shaft further includes a second lumen or aperture disposed in an external surface of the elongate shaft. The device further includes: a support truss, a snare loop, and an actuation member having a distal end. The actuation member is movably disposed within the first lumen. The support truss is configured to be received within the first lumen, second lumen, or aperture such that a proximal end of the support truss is operably connected to the elongate shaft adjacent a proximal portion of the first lumen, second lumen, or aperture. The snare loop has a first portion connected to a distal end of the support truss and a second portion connected to the distal end of the actuation member.

    摘要： A tissue resection device for resecting tissue from a target site within a patient's body. The device includes an elongate shaft having a proximal end and a distal end. An actuation member extends partially through the shaft, and reciprocates within the shaft between a retracted position and an extended position. Multiple snare wires extend through the actuation member, and emerge outwards from a distal portion of the actuation member. The snare wires cooperate and join to form a snare loop, which engages the tissue intended to be resected. The snare loop is configured to enhance friction while engaging the tissue, to resect the tissue.

The endoscope includes a port configured to provide access to the lumen. In addition, the system may include an actuation member slidably disposed through the lumen such that a proximal end of the actuation member extends through the port, and a distal end of the actuation member is operably coupled to an end-effector. The system may further include an actuation handle removably secured to the actuation member. In one embodiment, a portion of the end-effector has dimensions larger than a maximum dimension of the lumen.
