摘要: A device for treating tissue includes a capsule extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and including a channel extending therethrough, the capsule releasably coupled to a proximal portion of the device and clip jaws, proximal ends of which are slidably received within the channel of the capsule so that the clip jaws are movable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. Clip jaws are configured so that a distance between the distal ends of the clip jaws in an open configuration is between 15 and 18 millimeters. Clip jaws further include barbs extending from a distal portion thereof.

摘要: A medical device including an elongate member having a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending therebetween. The medical device may further include an end-effector disposed at the distal end of the elongate member. The end-effector may include a plurality of arms pivotally connected to one another, wherein each arm includes a tissue-contacting surface, a first portion of the tissue-contacting surface including a plurality of ridges configured to grasp tissue. Further, the tissue-contacting surface may include a channel oriented substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the medical device.

摘要: Improved methods and devices for performing an endoscopic surgery are provided. Systems are taught for operatively treating gastrointestinal disorders endoscopically in a stable, yet dynamic operative environment, and in a minimally invasive manner. Such systems include, for example, an endoscopic surgical suite. The surgical suite can have a reversibly expandable retractor that expands to provide a stable, operative environment within a subject. The expansion can be selectively asymmetric to maximize space for a tool and an endoscope to visualize a target tissue and treat the target tissue from outside the patient in a minimally invasive manner.

摘要: An endoscopic tissue fastening device may include a body having a first portion and a second portion arranged alongside the first portion. The second portion may extend distally of the first portion and may terminate in a distal end face of the body. The device may further include a tissue fastening assembly having a fastening head with a proximal end and a distal end. The fastening head may be deflectable at a location between the proximal end and the distal end of the fastening head. The tissue fastening assembly may be received within a lumen of the body. Further, the body may be moveable between an unarticulated configuration and an articulated configuration. In the articulated configuration, a central longitudinal axis of the second portion of the body may be substantially parallel with a central longitudinal axis of the tissue fastening assembly.

摘要: This disclosure relates to the field of luminal surgery. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to medical devices that expand within a body lumen for accessing a target tissue. In an aspect, an expandable device for a body lumen may include a filament comprising a proximal end, a distal end, and a length. The device may include a plurality of segments. Each segment may comprise a middle portion comprising a longitudinal axis extending axially therethrough, a projection portion extending from an end of the middle portion along the longitudinal axis, and a receptive portion extending from an opposing end of the middle portion away from the longitudinal axis, the receptive portion configured to receive the projection portion of an adjacent one of the plurality of segments. An aperture may be disposed through the projection portion, the middle portion, and the receptive portion.

摘要: This invention is directed to a medical device having a longitudinal axis, and including a handle and a catheter. The handle can include a body having a proximal end and a distal end, an actuator moveably coupled to the body, and a handle control member coupled to the actuator, wherein the actuator can be configured to move relative to the body to move the handle control member. The catheter can include a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the proximal end of the shaft and the distal end of the body can be configured for releasable coupling. The catheter can also include a steering section located along the shaft and a catheter control member coupled to the steering section, wherein the catheter control member can be configured to move relative to the shaft to move the steering section relative to the longitudinal axis. The medical device can also include a securing member configured to move relative to at least one of the handle and the catheter to releasably couple the handle control member to the catheter control member.

摘要: A clipping system includes an adapter configured to be mounted over an insertion device and a clip including first and second jaws movable between an insertion configuration and an initial deployed configuration. A first extending member is releasably coupled to the clip and movably connected to the adapter to permit a movement of the clip relative to the adapter from the insertion configuration to the initial deployed configuration. The first extending member is configured to permit withdrawal of the adapter away from the clip to place the system in a review configuration to enhance a visual observation of the clip. The first extending member is operable to retract the clip over the adapter so that the clip is forced open, freeing the clip from tissue on which it has been clipped. The first extending member is configured to release the clip therefrom in a final deployed configuration.

摘要: A device for treating hemorrhoids includes a housing sized and shaped for insertion to a target site within a rectum. The device also includes an inner member received within the housing such that the member may move longitudinally relative to the housing. In addition, the device includes a ligating mechanism at a distal end of the member which includes grasping arms movable between a receiving configuration in which distal ends of the arms are separated from one another and a grasping configuration in which the distal ends are drawn together to grasp tissue. The mechanism includes a ligating band received around the arms that is movable distally off of the arms to constrict around tissue grasped by the arms.
