The GFCI can also include a GN stimulus operatively connected to the second winding to provide a GN stimulus signal to the second winding.     摘要: Disclosed is a fault monitoring method for a multi-port internal passive load-free probabilistic load flow (PLF) electric network. Current transformers are installed on the conductors. Currents from the current transformers are transformed into voltages, and the voltages are then converted into pulses by a voltage-to-frequency conversion (VFC) circuit. The pulses are transmitted via optical fiber to a comparison module, and an algebraic sum of all pulse counts is calculated. It is stipulated that when an installation direction of the current transformer is the same as a direction of the port pointing to the PLF electric network, the pulse count is positive, and when the installation direction of the current transformer is opposite to the direction of the port pointing to the PLF electric network, the pulse count is negative. When the algebraic sum exceeds a threshold, it is determined that a fault has occurred within the PLF electric network. This method is designed for an electric network where the direction of power transmission is uncertain, and can promptly and accurately detect whether faults such as single-phase grounding and interphase short-circuiting have occurred within the electric network. The method achieves advantages such as fast fault response, and precise and timely detection.

    摘要: A direct current (DC) power combiner operable to interconnect multiple interconnected photovoltaic strings is disclosed. The DC power combiner may include a device adapted for disconnecting at least one photovoltaic string from the multiple interconnected photovoltaic strings, each photovoltaic string connectible by a first and second DC power line. The device may include a differential current sensor adapted to measure differential current by comparing respective currents in the first and second DC power lines. A first switch is connected in series with the first DC power line. A control module is operatively attached to the differential current sensor and the first switch. The control module may be operable to open the first switch when the differential current sensor measures the differential current to be greater than a maximum allowed current differential, thereby disconnecting the photovoltaic string from the interconnected photovoltaic strings.

    摘要: A grounded neutral fault detector that includes induction circuits and a controller is provided. The controller is configured to determine a frequency of a test signal by measuring load noise based on a first leakage signal corresponding to a first current imbalance between the line conductor and the neutral conductor for the load without the test signal being injected, analyzing a frequency spectrum of the load noise, and selecting the frequency of the test signal. The controller is further configured to inject the test signal at the selected frequency to the neutral conductor, measure impedance of a current loop formed by a potential grounded neutral fault based on a second leakage signal corresponding to a second current imbalance with the test signal being injected, and determine a grounded neutral fault.

    摘要: An apparatus for detecting an open neutral condition in a split phase power system is described. The apparatus includes two powered lines providing output electricity to an electrical distribution system and a shared neutral line providing a grounded neutral to the first and second powered lines. The apparatus is configured for detecting when an open neutral condition is present in the split phase power system by determining when a power current is present on one or both of the first and second powered lines while a return current is not present on the neutral line; and in response to detecting that the open neutral condition is present, causing an interrupter to interrupt the power supplied by the first and second powered lines or to generate a signal indicating an open condition.
