摘要:
A method includes coating a substrate to provide a flame resistant substrate. In an embodiment, the method includes preparing an aqueous solution. The aqueous solution comprises a phosphate material, a cationic material, and a water. The method further includes exposing the substrate to the aqueous solution to produce a coating on the substrate. The coating includes the cationic material and the phosphate material. The method also includes exposing the coating on the substrate to a melamine solution.

A method includes coating a substrate to provide a flame resistant substrate. In an embodiment, the method includes exposing the substrate to a cationic solution to produce a cationic layer deposited on the substrate. The cationic solution comprises cationic materials. The cationic materials comprise a polymer, a colloidal particle, a nanoparticle, a nitrogen-rich molecule, a geopolymer, a carbon-based filler, or any combinations thereof. The method also includes agitating the substrate. The method further includes exposing the cationic layer to an anionic solution to produce an anionic layer deposited on the cationic layer to produce a layer comprising the anionic layer and the cationic layer. The anionic solution comprises a layerable material.
摘要:
An integrated processing technique for preparing moisture management textiles or fabrics wherein a treatment of fibers with imparts a hydrophobic or hydrophilic property such that when incorporated into the fabrication of composite structured textiles or fabrics a hydrophobic inner surface and the hydrophilic outer surface is formed. The integrated processing technique for preparing moisture management textiles also includes finishing the textiles or fabrics with to enhance the fabric's liquid water one way transfer properties. The advantage of this invention is the possibility to manufacture the pure cotton woven/knitting fabrics with the good moisture management properties.
摘要:
A mixture of at least one acid and at least one metal compound enhance the stain resistance or acid dye fixation and resistance to cold water bleeding of fibrous polyamide and wool substrates, for example, carpets, treated with a water-soluble sulfonated aromatic-aldehyde condensation resin, for example, sulfonated resole and sulfonated novolak type resins; at the same time an improvement in light fastness or non-yellowing is obtained and the durability or wash fastness of the stain resistance is improved; the condensation resin is optionally employed in conjunction with a polymeric methacrylic acid. The acid of the mixture is one or more of phosphoric acid, polyphosphoric acid, citric acid and sulfuric acid; the metal compound is, in particular, a salt of magnesium or copper.

The disclosure relates to a process for making a particulate agent stable to hydrolysis based on free-flowing, pulverulent ammonium polyphosphate by treating the ammonium polyphosphate with a thermosetting, artificial resin being water-insoluble when cured. More specifically, the disclosure provides for the ammonium polyphosphate, an aliphatic alcohol as a diluent, and a melamine/formaldehyde-resin or phenol/formaldehyde-resin to be placed in an autoclave and intimately mixed at room temperature; for the mixture to be heated to a temperature of about 80.degree. to about 180.degree. C. and allowed to remain over a period of 15 to 240 minutes at that temperature and under the pressure corresponding to the vapor pressure of the diluent; for the diluent to be separated and for the product so obtained to be dried.

Modified ammonium polyphosphates which are water-soluble and contain at least one radical selected from the group consisting of borate, sulphate, sulphite, and phosphite produced by admixing component (i) an organic ammoniating and condensing agent, component (ii) a phosphoric acid, the molar proportion of said component (i) to said component (ii) based on the P.sub.2 O.sub.5 content in said component (ii), being from 1.3:1 to 3:1, and component (iii) a compound selected from sulphuric acid, boric acid, boric oxide, phosphorous acid, sulphurous acid and the sodium potassium, calcium, urea and ammonium salts of said compound, the proportion of said component (iii) being from 2 to 1/10 moles per mole of P.sub.2 O.sub.5 in the admixture; and heating until a self-sustaining exothermic reaction occurs whereby said three components react and form said water-soluble modified ammonium polyphosphates. The process of preparing said polyphosphates is also claimed.
