The heat transfer fluid concentrate can be used to make a heat transfer fluid.

    摘要: An anti-corrosion composition for use with a liquid or the liquid resulting from the addition of components is provided. The composition can comprise an acid, a phosphate ester of the acid, an inorganic phosphate, a salt of polyacrylates and a salt of an organophosphonate. The composition can be used with anti-freeze compositions or heat transfer fluids and advantageously exhibits enhanced corrosion resistance properties.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for prevention or stoppage of sulfidation or sulfuric corrosion of metal surfaces in contact with fluids including sulfiding compounds, where the method involves the addition of a compound to the fluid, where the additive has a higher affinity for metal surfaces than sulfur. The additive are group 15 of the periodic table of elements, fluorine-containing compounds, or mixtures or combinations thereof and are added in small quantities generally between about 0.001 ppm and about 20 ppm based on the amount of group 15 element or fluorine in the compound used. A protected metal surface is also disclosed which is coated with a protective coating comprising a group 15 element or fluorine and/or sulfur.

    摘要: A corrosion inhibitor is described which includes several supramolecular oxo-anion compositions useful for preventing the propagation of pit corrosion on aluminum and aluminum alloys. The oxo-anion compositions preferably include soluble polymeric oxidic acids comprising combinations of molybdenum, phosphorous, tungsten, and silicon. These compositions are useful as corrosion inhibitors in high-moisture, corrosive environments, such as radiators and cooling systems. For low-moisture environments, these oxo-anion compositions can be reacted with a counter-ion, such as various metals, including, but not limited to the rear earth metals, to form a soluble salt. The salt can then be adsorbed onto a carrier, such as paint pigments, which can then be applied to the surfaces of aluminum and aluminum alloys. These surface adsorbates then become sparingly soluble and are gradually released over time in the presence of an aqueous corrosive agent so as to prevent propagation of pit corrosion.
