Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide a photocurable resin composition capable of constituting a composition having high printability. The present invention relates to a photocurable resin composition containing (A) an allylic polymer produced by polymerization of an allylic compound represented by the following formula (I), and (B) a gelling agent, wherein R1 and R2 each represent H or CH3; X represents an a-valent group having an unsubstituted saturated or partially unsaturated four- to eight-membered cyclic structure; and a represents 2 or 3.
Abstract:
A resin composition contains: (A) an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer; (B) a styrene thermoplastic elastomer; and (C) a sorbic acid ester; wherein the sorbic acid ester (C) is present in an amount of 0.00001 to 10 ppm based on the weight of the resin composition. The resin composition is resistant to coloration.
Abstract:
Polyethylene is often stabilized with the combination of a primary antioxidant (such as a hindered phenol, a hydroxylamine or a lactone) and a secondary antioxidant (such as a phosphonite, a monophosphite, or a diphosphite). The diphosphite additives are not completely compatible with “linear” polyethylene. This results in “blooming” of the diphosphite to the surface of the finished polyethylene part or polyethylene film. The use of a preblend of ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) and diphosphite mitigates this problem.
Abstract:
Provided is a thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a polyamide resin and a modified rubber, in which low temperature resistance is improved. The thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising the polyamide resin and the modified rubber having an acid anhydride group or an epoxy group is characterized in that the modified rubber having an acid anhydride group or an epoxy group is modified with a secondary amine. The secondary amine is preferably a compound having a structural formula: R1—NH—R2, in which R1 is a linear alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms and R2 is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms and having a hydroxyl group, a sulfonyl group, a carbonyl group or an ether bond.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an EVOH resin composition comprising 2 types of EVOH resins having a different ethylene content and saponification degree from each other. The EVOH resin composition can reduce the occurrence of streaks with retaining gas-barrier property even when applying to vacuum-pressure forming. The use of the resin composition also make it possible to provide a method for producing a container such as cup having excellent gas-barrier property and appearance by vacuum-pressure forming and the like.
Abstract:
By first forming an emulsion in a system that separates into two phases which include a solution phase containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) as the main component and a solution phase containing a polymer (B) different from the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) as the main component when the copolymer (A), the polymer (B), and an organic solvent (C) having an SP value of 20 (J/cm3)1/2 to 30 (J/cm3)1/2 are dissolved and mixed together, and then causing the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) to precipitate as microparticles by bringing a poor solvent (D) of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) into contact with the emulsion, it is possible to obtain ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer microparticles that have a narrow particle size distribution wherein the particle size distribution index in a dry-powder state is 2 or less, have a true spherical particle shape, and exhibit excellent re-dispersibility into liquid.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide an EVOH-containing resin composition which has superior appearance characteristics and long-run workability in melt molding and enables occurrence of yellowing etc., in melt molding to be inhibited particularly, even in melt molding at high temperatures of, for example, no less than 260° C. Further provided is a multilayered structure molded from the composition. The present invention provides a resin composition containing (A) an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, (B) a carboxylic acid and/or a carboxylate ion, and (C) a metal ion, wherein the component (B) includes (B2) a multivalent carboxylic acid and/or a multivalent carboxylate ion, and the molar ratio (B2/C) of the multivalent carboxylic acid and the multivalent carboxylate ion (B2) to the metal ion (C) is 0.002 or greater and 2 or less.
Abstract:
A stable, heat resistant colloid stabilized waterbased bicomponent wood adhesive based on vinyl acetate and N-methylolacrylamide as a cross-linking agent and also including an aromatic and/or cyclo aliphatic monomer, such as 2-phenoxy ethyl acrylate and/or isobornyl methacrylate, and methyl methacrylate. The colloid system contains a high molecular weight partially hydrolyzed polyvinylalcohol and one or more intermediate hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohols.
Abstract:
Copolymers of vinyl aromatic monomers and propoxylated allyl alcohols having an average of 2 or less oxypropylene groups are disclosed. The copolymers, which have hydroxyl numbers of 80-260 mg KOH/g and number average molecular weights from 500-3500, are particularly useful for polyurethanes, alkyd resins and coatings, melamine-based coatings, and unsaturated polyester resins.
