Abstract: A resin composition is based on a resin selected from the group consisting of vinyl ester resins and unsaturated polyester resins, a crosslinking initiator and a crosslinking agent of general formula (I) in which i is an integer between 2 and 4, X is an i-valent group comprising at least one ring of 6 atoms selected from carbon and nitrogen and comprising at least 2 heteroatoms selected from nitrogen and oxygen, and R is an acrylate group, methacrylate group, vinyl group, alkenyl group bearing an unsaturated carbon at the chain end, or alkynyl group bearing an unsaturated carbon at the chain end.

Abstract: Provided are a curable composition comparable to a curing rate by conventional sulfur while maintaining performance required as a cured product even when a crosslinking agent is replaced with a peroxide, and a sealant containing a cured product of the curable composition. A curable composition containing a conjugated diene-based polymer (A) and a crosslinking agent (B), in which the conjugated diene-based polymer (A) has 100 moles or more of double bonds in a side chain per mole of the polymer.

Abstract: Cyanoacrylic adhesive compositions of the type comprising at least one cyanoacrylic acid ester or one malonic acid ester having an allyl, acrylic or methacrylic group, wherein there is also present at least one radical initiator of the polymerization reaction of the allyl, acrylic or methacrylic ester of cyanoacrylic acid or malonic acid and at least one radical inhibitor of said polymerization reaction. In comparison with known cyanoacrylic adhesive compositions, those according to the invention offer the advantage of maintaining their bonding capability even at high temperatures, in particular up to 150° C.

Abstract: Described herein is a polar non-aqueous dispersion comprising polar polymeric microparticles in a polar non-aqueous medium, the polar polymeric microparticles being insoluble in the medium and being produced by dispersion polymerization of vinyl monomers such as acrylate monomers in the medium in the presence of a polymeric acrylic stabilizer. Inks, coatings and overprint varnishes are formulated that employ the polar non-aqueous dispersion. Such inks, etc., exhibit superior chemical resistance properties, for example in one-part and two-part systems.

Abstract: A polymeric composition includes a diene elastomer; an azodicarboxy compound; and a reinforcing filler comprising silica. The composition is not foamed. A method for preparing a polymeric composition includes mixing in one or more steps: a diene elastomer; an azodicarboxy compound; and a reinforcing filler. The mixing temperature is less than 160° C. in mixing steps in which the azodicarboxy compound is present. In an embodiment, the mixing temperature is kept below the decomposition temperature of the azodicarboxy compound.

Abstract: Copolymer compositions and methods of making copolymer compositions with enhanced stability in high temperature and high salinity environments. The copolymers include hydrophobic monomers and sulfonated monomers. The sulfonated monomers can include 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid and allyl sulfonate. The sulfonated monomers increase the stability of the polymers in harsh conditions, and in high temperature, high salinity environments. The sulfonated monomers also reduce or prevent the hydrolysis of acrylamide groups, and therefore enhance the stability of the copolymer. The copolymer compositions can be made with free radical polymerization and an initiation complex.
