摘要: Micropump (10) including a support structure (14), a pump tube (16), and an actuation system (18) comprising one or more pump chamber actuators (28), the pump tube comprising a pump chamber portion (24) defining therein a pump chamber (26), an inlet portion (20) for inflow of fluid into the pump chamber, and an outlet portion (22) for outflow of fluid from the pump chamber. The inlet, outlet and pump chamber portions form part of a continuous section of tube made of a supple material. The one or more pump chamber actuators are configured to bias against the pump chamber portion to expel liquid contained in the pump chamber via the outlet portion, respectively to bias away from the pump chamber portion to allow liquid to enter the pump chamber via the inlet portion. The pump chamber portion has a cross-sectional area Ap in an expanded state that is larger than a cross-sectional area Ai of the pump tube at the inlet and outlet portions.

摘要: The present invention relates to the preparation of a thermoplastic fluoropolymer blend composition exhibiting improved mechanical properties upon fabrication. The fluoropolymer blend composite on is produced by blending an emulsion latex of fluoropolymer (A) with an emulsion latex of fluorinated copolymer (B). Copolymer (B) emulsion has a small particle size, super high MW, and a low degree of crystallinity. The blending of the latex emulsions results in a morphology with small particles of copolymer (B) uniformly distributed within a matrix of fluoropolymer (A) in a manner that could not be achieved by a mere melt blending of the tow components.

摘要: A method of forming a corrugated fluoropolymer tube is disclosed. The method comprises the step of providing a tube comprising extruded fluoropolymer without corrugations or convolutions disposed on a mandrel. The mandrel has a first cylindrical portion and a flaring portion that extends to a second cylindrical portion, the second portion having an outer diameter which is larger than an outer diameter of the first portion. The method also includes the step of moving the tube on a longitudinal axis along the mandrel thereby forcing an outer surface of the tube into flights disposed at a pitch angle on a plurality of thread rollers which are rotating, the plurality of thread rollers adjacent to and circumferentially distributed around the flaring portion and/or second cylindrical portion of the mandrel, wherein external force is exerted on the outer surface of the tube to form corrugations having adjacent peaks and roots.

The method includes providing a carrier layer that defines at least one cavity, providing an inlay layer supporting at least one electronic component, and positioning at least a portion of the inlay layer in the at least one cavity. The method further comprises dispensing a radiation crosslinkable polymer composition over the inlay layer, and irradiating the radiation crosslinkable polymer composition.

摘要: A composition includes a thermoplastic fluoropolymer having vinylidene fluoride units in an amount of at least 30 mole percent and tetrafluoroethylene units in an amount of at least 5 mole percent. The thermoplastic fluoropolymer is free of hexafluoropropylene units or comprises less than 5 mole percent hexafluoropropylene units. The composition further includes at least one of a non-fluorinated, thermoplastic polymer as a major component of the composition or a polymer processing additive synergist. A method of reducing melt defects during the extrusion of a polymer is also provided. Use of the thermoplastic fluoropolymer as a polymer processing additive is also provided.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a heat shrink tube excellent in peelability and transparency, and a method for producing the heat shrink tube. The present invention provides a peelable heat shrink tube comprising a composition containing a melt-processable fluororesin and PTFE, the PTFE lacking a heat history of its melting point or higher after polymerization and having a specific gravity, as measured according to ASTM D4894, of 2.20 or less. The content of the PTFE is 0.05 to 3.0 wt % based on the total weight of the melt-processable fluororesin and the PTFE. The present invention also provides a method for producing the tube which comprises melt-extruding the composition at a temperature lower than the melting point of the PTFE.

摘要: VDF-co-(TFE or TrFE) polymers having a molecular weight of at least about 1,000,000 g/mol and a melt temperature less than about 240° C. The VDF copolymer contains at least about 50 mol % VDF monomer and may include an amount of at least one other monomer. The VDF copolymer may be used to form a membrane that has a node and fibril structure. The membrane has a percent porosity of at least 25%. A VDF-co-(TFE or TrFE) polymer membrane may be formed by lubricating the VDF copolymer, subjecting the lubricated polymer to pressure at a temperature below the melting point of the VDF copolymer to form a preform material, and expanding the preform material at a temperature below the melting temperature of the VDF copolymer. Dense VDF copolymer articles, filled VDF copolymer membranes, and VDF copolymer fibers are also provided.
