    Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a surface-layered part comprises: a main support that supports a surface layer member to be placed under a base member; a pulling device arranged at a periphery of the main support, wherein the pulling device includes a pulling member that pulls an edge of the surface layer member, which is in a position away from the edge of the base member, outward with respect to the base member; a base member clamping device that fixedly clamps the surface layer member, having been pulled outward by the pulling member of the pulling device, against the main support via the base member placed over the surface layer member; and a relieving device that separates the pulling member from the edge of the surface layer member, which has been moved outward with respect to the base member by the pulling device, to allow the edge of the surface layer member to wrap around the edge of the base member by an elastic restoring force of the surface layer member, thereby integrating them; and a control device that drives and controls the base member clamping device, the pulling device, and the relieving device.

    Abstract: A molding jig for molding a laminate, which includes reinforced fiber sheets laminated on each other, extends in the length direction, and has a cross-sectional shape having a curved portion in a cross section obtained by cutting the laminate on a plane orthogonal to the length direction, into a three-dimensional shape having a bent portion in the length direction. The molding jig includes a female die for forming the bent portion, a male die for engaging with the female die with the laminate therebetween for forming the bent portion, and a stretchable supporting member between the female die and the laminate. The laminate comes in contact with the male die on both length-direction sides of the molded bent portion, and the supporting member is over a region including the female-side molding surface.

    Abstract: A method of sealing a wiring-harness includes the steps of: a) dispensing a length of a sealing-tape onto a platform, the sealing-tape having a first-surface and a second-surface opposite the first-surface. b) separating a plurality of wire-cables from a portion of the wiring-harness. c) applying the plurality of wire-cables to a first-half of the first-surface of the sealing-tape. d) folding a second-half of the sealing-tape over the separated plurality of wire-cables such that the second-half overlays the first-half. e) pressing the second-half of the sealing-tape such that the second-half contacts the first-half between the separated plurality of wire-cables, thereby forming a cable-band. f) coiling the cable-band into a generally cylindrical-shaped seal. g) compressing the cylindrical-shaped seal isostatically such that interstitial-voids within the cylindrical-shaped seal are reduced in size.
    An apparatus for sealing a wiring-harness is also provided.

    Abstract: A filament winding device includes: a helical winder which winds a fiber bundle around a liner; a bobbin supporting shaft which rotatably supports a bobbin for providing the fiber bundle to the helical winder and a bobbin different from the bobbin in a state in which winding-initiation ends of the fiber bundle wound around the bobbin and winding-termination ends of the fiber bundle wound around the bobbin connect to each other; and a fiber bundle storage unit. The fiber bundle storage unit has a stopper which can switch the fiber bundle storage unit between a storage state in which the fiber bundle is stored in the fiber bundle storage unit and a storage-released state in which the fiber bundle has been released from storage in the fiber bundle storage unit and the fiber bundle is supplied from the fiber bundle storage unit to the helical winding unit.
