    摘要: Means for Solving the ProblemAccording to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a magnetic-separation filter device that removes contaminants of fine ferromagnetic particles from a fluid containing such contaminants, comprising: a substantially cylindrical housing; two partition plates that are disposed in an inside of the housing so as to extend in a vertical direction of the housing, dividing the inside of the housing by being disposed in parallel to each other;a filter medium that includes a fine amorphous-alloy wire bundle filled in a first region defined by the housing and the two partition plates; andplural permanent magnets that are provided on both sides of the first region outside the housing, wherein the contaminants of fine ferromagnetic particles are adsorbed on the filter media by flowing the fluid containing such contaminants through the first region in which the magnetic field has been formed by these plural permanent magnets.

    摘要: Methods and devices are disclosed which are useful for collecting magnetic materials in either internally or externally generated magnetic gradient fields, followed by resuspension into solution with a simple manipulation of the magnetic device. The methods provide for removal of excess reagent, washing of magnetic material, and resuspension for analysis, among other uses. The methods are applicable to all types of biological material that are susceptible to magnetic labelling, including, for example, cells, viruses, proteins, hormones, and receptor-ligand complexes. Several devices are disclosed to take advantage of the method for cellular and immunoassay applications, including both internal and external devices. Both flow-through and static separators are disclosed.

    摘要: A bar filter is disclosed which is fit for use in an apparatus for removing phosphates from waste water. Thereto phosphates are chemically bound to magnetic material, like magnetite, and subsequently the liquid containing the suspended particles is fed through a filter according to the present invention. The magnetic particles adhere to the bars of the magnetic filter so that the filter gradually fills with the particles. According to the present invention, the configuration of the bars of the filter is such that the gradient of the magnetic field is substantially constant, leading to an even filling of the filter, so that the frequency of flushing the filter to empty it is limited as far as possible. Preferably the density of the bars is a plane perpendicular to the bars is constant.
