Abstract:
An apparatus and method for wrapping an object. The object is on an object support. A wrapping unit drive rotates a wrapping unit part with a holder for wrapping material around the object. A barrier in a protecting position provides a mechanical safety mechanism. When the barrier is moved into a further position, an interrupter is moved into an interrupting position and interrupts a supply connection for the wrapping unit drive. Thereby the wrapping unit part is no longer rotated.
Abstract:
A clutch for an agricultural implement including a rotating unit for connection to a powered shaft, a selectively disengageable unit, a zero-backlash torque limiter operable in an engaged position where a biased plunger is housed in a seat to angularly connect the rotating unit and the selectively disengageable unit for torque transfer until a maximum torque level is reached; and in a disengaged position where the plunger is retracted outside the seat. Further, a safety occlusion mechanism having an obstructing element selectively movable in an obstructing position to hinder the seat from housing the plunger and in a release position to allow shape coupling when the plunger and the seat overlap. The occlusion mechanism is biased to switch in the obstructing position and the release position is instated by an operator.
Abstract:
An agricultural baler has a shaft, a flywheel connected to the shaft, and a disc brake system including a brake disc with a toothed rim for engaging with an auxiliary motor. The brake disc may be directly mounted on the flywheel. The baler may have a brake controller for controlling the disc brake system, and a motor controller for controlling the auxiliary motor, or an integrated baler controller for controlling both. The auxiliary motor may be arranged for rotating the flywheel forward or backwards.
Abstract:
A combine side-shaking control system includes a sieve for separating crop material from other materials and a movable side-shaking mechanism coupled to the sieve and configured to move the sieve in a side-to-side motion. The control system also includes also includes first and second grain loss sensors configured to sense amounts of grain loss from separate portions of the sieve. The control system further includes a controller configured to: (i) receive a first grain loss value corresponding to the sensed first amount of grain loss and a second grain loss value corresponding to the sensed second amount of grain loss; and (ii) cause the side-shaking mechanism to control movement of the sieve in the side-to-side motion based on at least one of the received first grain loss value and the received second grain loss value.
Abstract:
A baler has a chamber, a plunger, wherein the plunger is connected to a plunger driving mechanism that is adapted to reciprocally move the plunger in the baling chamber, a hydraulic brake mechanism including a master cylinder, a brake cylinder and a lever, wherein the lever is provided to operate the master cylinder, which master cylinder is fluidly connected to the brake cylinder arranged to act on the plunger driving mechanism, wherein the hydraulic brake mechanism further includes a spring arranged between the lever and the master cylinder.
Abstract:
A safety device for agricultural machines is provided. The safety device includes a stop element, which can be associated functionally with a kinematic transmission chain interposed between a motor assembly of a working shaft and the working shaft itself to control the working shaft with the complementary stop element. The stop element is movable on command from a passive configuration to an active configuration, in which the stop element is arranged so as to interfere with the trajectory of the complementary stop element, for the forced locking of the latter and of the working shaft, and vice versa. Moreover, either or both of the stop element and the complementary stop element are associated with a unit for damping the forced locking, which can be actuated automatically upon impact of the stop element against the complementary stop element.
Abstract:
An Agricultural baler comprising a flywheel that is driven via a drive shaft. The flywheel is connected to a pressing component of the baler via a central shaft, wherein the flywheel is mounted over the central shaft via bearings. Further mounted on the central shaft is a shear pin flange which is connected via a shear pin to the flywheel for the purpose of transmitting a rotation movement of the flywheel to the central shaft, wherein the flywheel is held over the central shaft via first fixing component and wherein the shear pin flange is connected to the central shaft via second fixing component.
Abstract:
A method of unplugging hay and forage equipment, including the steps of identifying a plug, substantially simultaneously activating unplugging devices, unplugging the equipment, and returning the unplugging devices to position of normal operation. The identifying step includes identifying a plug in the equipment caused by the material entering the equipment. The activating step includes activating substantially simultaneously a plurality of unplugging devices. The returning step includes returning the plurality of unplugging devices to their normal operating positions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for locking the chock (3) and the axial bearing housing (5) of a roll set as well as the roll change carriage (7) during rolling and during change of rolls. In that case provided at the roll housing (1) is a horizontally displaceable locking device (2) having locking elements (4, 6, 9) by way of which the locking device (2) for axial displacement of the roll is lockable to the roll chock (3) in order to fix the position of the axial bearing housing (5) with respect to the chock (3) of the roll or is lockable to the roll change carriage in the roll change position.
Abstract:
A system and method for detecting a condition indicative of onset of plugging or actual plugging of discharge apparatus of an agricultural combine, utilizing an air flow sensor disposed in relation to the discharge apparatus for sensing one or more air flow characteristics or conditions indicative of at least the onset of a plugging condition.
