    Abstract: An agricultural work machine, an agricultural work machine control system, and method for an agricultural work machine having a sound sensor configured to transmit sound signals generated by the work machine during operation. The transmitted sound signals are received by a controller and used to determine if the work machine is operating properly. The controller compares an operating frequency profile, based on the transmitted sound signals, to a baseline frequency profile, to determine whether a likelihood of a malfunctioning or damaged part or system of the work machine is present. If so, the controller transmits a signal to either turn off the agricultural work machine or transmits an alert to a display indicating that a malfunctioning or damaged part or system has been identified.

    Abstract: The present invention provides improved throughput in cotton baling machines by utilizing an electronically actuated apparatus for reliably, efficiently and precisely moving a chute frame into and out of position adjacent to a compressed cotton bale. Embodiments of the invention may include an electronic actuator that may be operated using a programmable logic control (PLC), and a control shaft having at least three distinct stops corresponding to raised, lowered and intermediate positions of the chute frame. Embodiments of the invention may be used to replace existing pneumatic apparatus, and may include an adapter for installing an electronic actuator to the mounts of the replaced pneumatic piston.

    Abstract: An agricultural baler includes a main bale chamber having an inlet for receiving crop material. A strawhook arrangement includes a plurality of strawhooks and an actuation mechanism for moving the strawhooks between an open position wherein the inlet to the main bale chamber is open, and a closed position wherein the inlet to the main bale chamber is closed. The actuation mechanism includes a two-bar linkage and an actuator. The two-bar linkage has a first bar with a first end and a second end, and a second bar with a first end and a second end. The first end of the first bar is pivotally coupled with the strawhooks, and the first end of the second bar is pivotally coupled with a fixed structure of the baler. The actuator is coupled with the second ends of the first bar and the second bar. The actuator is operable to apply pushing or pulling forces to each of the second ends and thereby selectively move the strawhooks between the open position and the closed position.
