Abstract: The actuating device for a vehicle brake system comprises a force input member, which can be coupled to a brake pedal, and a brake master cylinder. The brake master cylinder has at least one force transmission member. The force transmission member is coupled to the force input member in an articulating fashion. The force transmission member is positioned to transmit a force, which has been exerted onto the force input member, to the brake master cylinder. The actuating device has at least one elastically deformable positioning element. The at least one positioning element produces a holding force with which the at least one positioning element holds the at least one force input member in an installation position relative to the brake master cylinder.

Abstract: A vehicle braking system includes a wheel cylinder, a master cylinder including a master cylinder piston operable to translate between an unactuated position and an actuated position in a first mode of operation, a brake pedal operable to transition between an extended position corresponding to the unactuated position of the master cylinder and a retracted position corresponding to the actuated position of the master cylinder, and a booster located between the master cylinder and the brake pedal. The master cylinder is operable to selectively transfer a braking force from the brake pedal to the wheel cylinder in the first mode of operation. The booster is operable to hold the brake pedal in the retracted position in a second mode of operation without user input and without associated braking.

Abstract: A pedal assembly comprises a pedal arm; a pedal plate provided on a second end of an elongated lever structure of the pedal arm; a vehicle mounting bracket; and a retainer. The retainer is configured to move or to be movable from the open position to a closed position in which the retainer retains the end portion of the operating member received therein. The retainer is movable from the open position to the closed position by insertion of the operating member therein.

Abstract: An electromechanical brake assist system driven by an electric motor cooperating with a master cylinder and having, along the axis of actuation, a helper piston in the shape of an axial sleeve solidly connected with a guide bracket and having a threaded surface. A nut, fixed in translation but free to rotate, has interior threads that complement those of the helper piston, which it receives, and exterior teeth that cooperate with the drive motor. A plunger piston carries a drive base so it can be pushed by the piston. Its other extremity is connected to the control rod, formed from a body and a head. The body has a crimping area and the head has a sleeve with an extremity that can be crimped along the crimping area.

The brake link group is connected between the elbow and the brake control link. The brake pump has an adjustable rod, and one link of the brake link group is connected to the adjustable rod.

In order to provide a braking device which is of particularly compact, cost-effective and weight-saving construction and has short pedal strokes, and an easily adjustable pedal characteristic curve, at the same time enabling effective direct action in case of failure of the booster stage and comfortable haptic feedback at the pedal during normal operation, the actuating force from a piston rod is introduced into the spindle, wherein the piston rod can be moved axially to a limited extent relative to the spindle and a spring element is inserted in the flow of force of the actuating force between the piston rod and the spindle, which spring is compressed axially when the actuating force is introduced.
