摘要: A novel thermally insulated enclosure includes an insulated wall and a magnet assembly coupled thereto for mounting the insulated enclosure to ferromagnetic structures. In a particular embodiment, the magnet assembly includes a plurality of magnets coupled to the insulated wall. In another particular embodiment, the magnet assembly is a removable magnetic device that can be connected and disconnected from the insulated enclosure. In another particular embodiment, the magnet assembly is a removable magnet carrier that can be incorporated into the structure of the insulated enclosure.

摘要: Methods to partially decrease reflectivities of at least two regions on a mirror platform relative to a reflectivity of a third region are taught. A first region is defined on a surface of the mirror platform. The first region is a media display device viewing area. A second region is defined on the surface of the mirror platform. The second region is a back lit area. A first material is selectively disposed onto a rear surface of the mirror platform outside of the first region and outside of the second region. The first material increases the reflectivity of the mirror platform outside of the first region and outside of the second region. When the mirror platform is viewed from a front side a reflectivity of a third region, which is outside of the first region and outside of the second region, is greater than a reflectivity of either the first region or the second region; and a reflectivity of the first region is different than a reflectivity of the second region.

摘要: According to some embodiments, systems and methods of ultrasonic detection of implantable medical device distraction are provided. The system includes a first elongate member and a second elongate member. The first elongate member has a first end that is configured to be attached to a first location on the skeletal system of a subject, a second end, and at least one landmark identifiable using ultrasound. The second elongate member has a first end that is movably coupled to the second end of the first elongate member, a second end configured to be attached to a second location on the skeletal system, and at least one landmark identifiable using ultrasound. Movement of the first elongate member in relation to the second elongate member causes a corresponding movement of the at least one first landmark in relation to the at least one second landmark which can be detected using ultrasound.

This method and apparatus obviates the need to expend significant machining or chemical processing to remove the canister 12.

摘要: A barrel nut assembly for use on a variety of firearms is provided. The assembly is made up of a barrel nut, generally cylindrical in shape with a threaded central bore, and an externally threaded locknut which is used in conjunction with the barrel nut to secure a barrel to a firearm upper receiver. The barrel nut has an integral bushing on its exterior constructed to support either the gas tube or piston of the host firearm's operating system. The barrel nut is configured so that it may be independently and non-rotationally held within a vice or other fixture during installation of the barrel and while the locknut is tightened to a preset torque to hold the barrel in place. The barrel nut assembly affords the user a method and apparatus that aligns a central bore in the bushing with the opening in the upper receiver that receives an operating system component of the firearm while the barrel nut is independent of the torque applied to the locknut to properly secure the barrel to the upper receiver.

摘要: An externally threaded fastener is captivated by a component that includes an opening. The externally threaded fastener includes a thread and a non-threaded shaft. The opening includes a major diameter and a minor diameter. The minor diameter includes a first diameter portion, a second diameter portion, and orthogonal portions that connect the first diameter portion and the second diameter portion. To captivate the externally threaded fastener with the component, the externally threaded fastener is positioned within the component opening and the externally threaded fastener is angled relative to an axis of symmetry of the opening in order to engage the threads of the externally threaded fastener with the component opening until the non-threaded shaft is fixed against at least two planes of the component by the first diameter portion of the minor diameter.
